What building should I request to be centrally located to the pool and the food court at HIFS? Is there a map somewhere showing building numbers and their location?

Can I call an request a location and also a themed room? Are requests usually honored?

Thanks,

I have heard that building 8 is good. We were in building 9 when we stayed there. It was a little bit of a walk to the lobby, but not bad.

You can call to try to request a room. Sometimes they do accomodate.

Have a great time! We had a blast at the hotel when we were there.

We stayed in building 8, it was a bit of a distance from the lobby, but right at the pool. I have older kids so it was no problem. I didn't make any requests until I checked in and they were very accomidating.

Buildings 7 and 8 are near the kids pool and the closest to the lobby (breakfast.) They told me I could request certain themes but no guarantees. I would remind them at check in. Also....expect a wait at check in. It was a mob! If you are a priority club member, if that desk is open on your arrival, it should be much faster. Look for it directly to your far left as you enter the lobby.

in building 8 and loved it. I didn't think it was very far from the lobby at all. We were on the 2nd floor facing the pool. We requested a pool view when we got there and jungle theme when I made ressies and got both. I really liked the hotel.
Have fun!

Did I read somewhere that there are not elevators here? I have recently broken my foot (small, but painful especially on stairs) and my diabetic DD has come down with Mononucleosis. It was an interesting weekend around here. Anyway, I'm now starting to realize how our trip plans of the last 15 months are going to be affected. Going up a floor or 2 with luggage was of no consequence to us a week ago not now.

Should I be requesting a first floor or certain building? The other complication was that I requested we get a non-smoking, non-food or pop related theme Kidsuite because of my DD's diabetes. That was our priority even if we ended up out in the boonies because of it. Now we still need the proper theme, but need to be close to things!

There are elevators at HIFS. But I would request the first floor because while we were there, the elevator to our building was out of order off and on the whole week we stayed there.
