HIFS-Referral Program - Does it work?

Just wondering if anyone has received their compensation for the referral program. I have passed along quite a few coupons and although some of the stays are in the future some have already happened.

Has anyone used the program successfully?

I gave one to our travel agent. She gave it to her sister who booked HIFS. My name was on the certificate.

The hotel actually called me and asked who I had given the certificates too, because the front desk didn't write down how many days I was to be compensated for. I didn't feel comfortable calling our agent and asking her sisters last name, so I couldn't offer that info to the agent. He said that was fine, he'd compensate me for one week.

This was back in, oh I'd say April. Not a check nor a word since. Personally, it's fine with me that I didn't get a check, as I was glad to help someone else out. BUT, it does bother me the hotel is misrepresenting the offer.

I agree! I luv helping out fellow dissers but i am annoyed at the hotel! I tried calling them directly but they are having phone trouble - maybe because of "charley"?
