Hi all,

I have a kidsuite booking at HIFS in August.

For those of you that have stayed at the resort are the kidsuites located in a particular area?

Is there a particular room location I should be requesting ie one that has a pool view rather than the highway etc.

As the search facility is down at the moment I would appreciate any help as to the advantage /disadvantage of room locations.

Many thanks,

Rick

IMO, I would request building 7 or 8.

If you request a pool view, they will likely tell you that it is $20 extra (not worth it!). Have them add it to your reservation as a request (not a guarentee) When you arrive, request pool view again, if they have those rooms available, they may give you an upgrade for free. Some have posted that they were successful in getting the poolview without paying the extra $20. We were not, and had a parking lot view. Which ended up being great because we were on the first floor and could park our van right outside of our door!

Have a great trip.

We asked for a pool view when we got there for our second visit and they were going to charge $20 extra and I said no way. Then my husband asked if we could stay in building 11 because that is where we had stayed before and they gave it to us with no extra cost. Building 11 juts out into the pool area so there are no parking lot rooms in this building. One side of the building looks over the shallow end of the pool and the kiddie pool and the other side of the building looks over the deep end of the pool and the putt putt golf area. Maybe I'll ask for building 11 again this year....

I have a map that they gave us when we checked in last year. I can try to scan it and e-mail it to you if you like.

Buildings 1-5 are in the West Track which surrounds the lap pool and buildings 6 through 14 surround the fun pool and kids play area.

Hi RIck, I just tried scanning the map and it came out terrible. The print is small and the paper is dark and so I looked on the website for HIFS and thought it might be just as easy to explain the building numbers as you look at the picture that comes up on their site.

As you lookat the picture of the property that comes up on
http://www.hifamilysuites.com/index.html?
You will see the words East Track which are on building 14. Then, moving clockwise, there is building 13, then 12 and then 11 which is the one that juts into the pool area (where we have stayed twice now) then continuing clockwise, building 10, 9, 8 7 and then 6.

Now for West Track. The word West is on building 4, then moving clockwise is building 5 and then 1 (the word entertainment ends on building 1) then 2 and then 3 is at the end of the pool.

I hope this makes sense. If not, please let me know.

We stayed in building 7 on the 5th floor. Our room overlooked the lake and the main lobby building (which houses the food court, restaurant and entertainment center). We had a short walk to breakfast and a short walk to the pool. This was a great location for us.

Enjoy your stay - this hotel is the GREATEST :-)
