I am going to stay at HIFS from 11/21 until 11/26 and was quoted a price of 124 per night to stay in the kids suites. Is this a good rate.
Thanks
Scott

We also tried getting a discount through the HI Priority Club. It's free and you can join online. Plus you can acquire points for future discounts. We have a $134 rate during the peak season near Easter. I don't know the web site, but i'm sure you can find it by doing a search on priority and holiday inn :D

Thanks for your help. I just called HIFS and they dropped my rate to 116 a night using the VTRIP discount. I wasnt ready to take the penalty with the other site because I still may end up staying inside.

I got a rate of $98.00 per night Dec. 3-10 through
hotelkingdom.com. They have some good rates

Rates are lower in December. hotelkingdom.com is a prepaid reservation with cancellation penalties. $98/night in December is available from placestostay.com, valuetrips.com, or through the hotel with the VTRIP code with no unusual cancellation penalties.

If you want to incur an immediate credit card charge and risk cancellation penalties - as with hotelkingdom.com - then you are better off with the floridatravelonline.com site listed, since its December rate is $92/night.

We have reservations for the week before easter at 153.00 a night. I just called the hotel and they told me they do not have a VTRIP rate available then. Valuetrips.com showed 143.00 a night for this time period. What can I do to get this new rate? Thanks.

HI usually runs a promotion from mid-late Nov. thru mid Feb. that's buy one night at the standard(non-discounted) rate, get the next night free. They will have the required coupon available on their web-site, basshotels.com as well as in many magazines (I think tv guide usually has one). They can't tell you in advance when this promotion will run, so you just have to keep checking, but it is definitely better than any other discounted rate you will find. We used it last Feb. at HIFS. Call early, these book up fast! :)

What about roomsaver.com has anyone used that? I found the HIFS there for $86 per night, this is for the first 2 weeks in Dec. Is this better than the buy one night get one free or not.

I could not find this hotel on roomsaver.com - how did you find this? I looked under Orlando and Lake Buena Vista.
Thanks

we used the buy one get one free offer the first week of December last year and it averaged out to be $69/night including tax. That's hard to beat! However, I'd go ahead and make my reservations for the lowest rate you can find now and keep checking back to see if you can get the "bogof" offer later, or a lower rate. HIFS said they stopped participating in that offer when I tried to make another reservation for the beginning of this year (and the promotion was still going on at that time). So, they may not decide to participate in that promo this year, :( who knows?

I found the $86 rate a floridaherewecome.com
I have been at so many sites. Again Sorry for the confusion. Has anyone used this site before. <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">
