Does anyone else think that the reservations system at Disney "hides" campsites for the weekends? I am trying to get Nov. 11-23 and so far have only gotten 11-14, 16-21, 21-22(full hook-up). I had to make 3 different reservations to get these dates. I still need the 14th, 15th and 22nd. It seems all of the weekends(except that one Friday I was able to add) are full from now to eternity!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else have this problem or believe it is for real? :confused3

I know if you try to book a weekend only, the system won't let you when they get below a certain level of availability over the weekend, but if you book Wednesday through Wednesday, the weekend is suddenly available.

I tried to book it from Tuesday the 11th leaving Sunday the 23rd and couldn't. I had to book leaving the 14th and coming back in on Sunday the 16th and then leaving again on Saturday the 22nd. I can't believe Friday is available and but not Saturday?!?

Thanks for the reply Carol!

A couple of years ago, that happened to a friend of mine. Was there for two weeks, could not get the middle weekend, no matter what he tried ahead of time. Once he actually got there and checked in, he asked about the middle weekend and was told no problem. He didn't even have to move.

Even if you can't get those middle days, go anyway, it should work out.

That is what I told my husband but he is pretty frustrated with the reservation system at the moment.:headache:

We love WDW and the Fort, but it is getting to where there is alot more of the negative that you have to ignore than there used to be. I know their system has been messed up for awhile, but they have so many discount codes now they don't even know what they offer!

When I called last night for those weeks, he said the only discount he had during that time for the fort was the AP discount. He didn't know anything about the "new" GA discounts or have anything for AAA or Disney Visa. I am so tired of calling everyday and getting a different answer. Maybe we will go and take our chances.

Thanks, Carol!:)

That's exactly what I did. I tried a Thursday to Wednesday and was told no availability for partial hookup. I even called back because I thought there was no way that was possible and was told the same thing by another CM. Then I read here to try Wednesday to Wednesday. Sure enough it worked. I called later and cancelled the first night to get my original dates.

Yes, some are hidden. In the past I have been unable to reserve a site but when I got to Orlando was able to do so. I was booked at Tropical Palms but I didnt like it. I called Disney reservations and got a site for 3 nights. Also when I check using the regular WDW reservation site there is nothing available. When I use the friends of cast member site I am able to reserve. I believe they leave a certain number unavailable. I have someone renting the trailer at FW now, they wanted to stay 3 more nights and walked over to the check-in and got the extra nights with no problem.

Cast members have their own website for reservations. They can book for themselves or friends/family.

we are leaving in weeks we booked in Oct 12, to 22 but our confirmation had us leaving on the 21, we called to see if we can change it to add the extra night, and we were told there is only one site availiable for that night, problem is that we are in a group of three rvs. eventually there was three site for that night. go figure.:confused3
