Hidden Mickeys/WDW tour questions!

Does anyone have any tips on the Hidden Mickey thing for the Tour at WDW? DDs are having a terrible time finding them all (they have special needs) and I'd like to have a 'guarantee' of sorts that we'll qualify for the tour, so I can sign us up ASAP. Also, how far in advance can you sign up for the tours? We'll be there on Dec 6th, but would like to take the tour on the 16th.

As far as sign up goes someone who has taken the tour will have to answer that one for you.
