Hidden Mickey's App

There is a Hidden Mickey's App ($7.99) on apple app store which is made from the books. Has anyone used this and if so can you tell me about it. Does it use GPS and show you which you are located near? Can you say you found it and does it mark you found it? Is it worth the money?

We have it and really like it. We have had it for a few years, so I am not sure if there is a newer version. You can mark off the ones you find and it will keep track from trip to trip. They have point values, if you want to make it into a game. There are hints you can ask for if you can't find one. There is a choice to show it on a map - not sure if that is exactly using GPS.

Thanks! Would you recommend it instead of the books? We told the kids we would get them a book but if the App is just as good or better than it will be one less thing to carry around.

We used to have the book. Once we stopped bringing a stroller it was a pain to carry the book. The app is easier.
