Hidden costs on dining meal plan?

I have the free dining meal plan (thanks to this board ) and I was wondering if there were any hidden costs and will your waitstaff tell you. For instance if you order something not included will they tell you or just give you a bill at the end of the meal.
Looking at some of the menus it looks like you can add shrimp will your steak for 5.99. Would that be included?

Different people have had different experiences with add-ons. Officially, I don't think they are included but you can always ask! Just tell them upfront you're on the Dining Plan and that you want to make sure you're ordering things covered. By now, the waitstaff should all know what's included and what's not and should be able to tell you.
