Have read the boards for years. Just put off joining, procrastination at its finest. 
I'm in FL right now, in the northeast corner. Married for 11 years (together 19) to the most wonderful man (well, most days anyways). Three munchkins, 1 dog and 2 cats. One cat hides in a bedroom and hates everything; the other cat runs the household--and the big standard schnauzer dog is her playtoy.
Munchkin 1 is 21 and away at college; munchkin 2 is 17 and leaving the nest come July to follow big sister; and munchkin 3 is 7 and sad he can't follow his sisters off into the big world.
DH has ESRD, and is on home daily hemodialysis. Will be eligible for the UNOS list in just 1-1/2 short years (has to be 5 years cancer free, as he lost his kidneys to adrenal cancer).
I'm currently a SAHM, due to carrying for DH and both kids. And I turn 40 this year.
