Hi evreyone,

I am kinda new to this board. This is actually one of my first post. We are taking our daughter to Disney World for her first trip next month. She will be 3 a couple of weeks after we go. Is there any ideas anyone could give me for a cute birthday surprise for her while we are down there?

You might consider the BB Boutique at World of Disney at DTD or in the castle at Magic Kingdom. I see the little ones made up like princesses all the time. They love it! Whenever I see one, I always say "Hello, Princess!". You should see the smiles. It makes my day!

Tell the people at the front desk that you are celebrating her birthday. Then just step back, and let the magic begin...

Definitely stop at City Hall when you enter MK and tell them it's her birthday.. She will get a button, and sometimes a phone call from Goofy :)

Also...what I did for my girls (not birthday, but first trip) was had "Mickey" leave them gifts for the first morning they woke up at Disney (a'la Santa style)
Mickey knows when its your first trip (or birthday) and leaves presents :)

Welcome to the boards!! That is such an awesome age -- I am sure you all will have an awesome trip. Here are some ideas:

* cruise over to the Creative DISign board and check out some of the awesome designs. Many designers have websites and graciously share/create designs for fellow Disers. They are great for t-shirts, autograph books and invitations. You could make some custom iron-on t-shirts announcing her birthday, or create some invitations from the characters to be "delivered" to your room to invite her to your character meals (she doesn't need to know how you slaved over the ADRs!!) -- print out on parchment paper, cardstock, roll as a scroll, decorate w/ribbons and stickers, etc. You could also use some of the invitation type creations and make birthday greetings from the characters as well. You will be inspired once you see how nice the designs are and how generous and helpful the designers are.

* As pp mentioned, leave out little goodies from Mickey or Tink (sprinkle a little glitter when Tink comes). I love doing this...especially w/things I would buy for the trip anyway like sunglasses, disposable camera, pins, hair doo-dads, light spinner, swimsuit, etc.

Happy planning!

Definately tell the front desk CM when you check in and let them know your dd's favorite character. We did that for my son 3 weeks ago and they sent him a photo card signed by Mickey and happy birthday balloons to our room! Also, when you check in for your adrs also let them know. They brought my son a upcake with a candle and sang Happy Birthday! :thumbsup2 WDW is the BEST place to celebrate a birthday!! :cool1:

You guys are awesome!! Thank you so much for all the ideas! Now we are just counting down the days! Only 31 more to go...

My ds turns 7 on our trip in 41 days.
Another suggestion I would make is the Perfectly Princess Tea Party I took dd at age 6 and dn 4. It was a magical experience for them.
