I am new here. I found you all by doing a search on Mickey Mouse weddings. I hope I can still post here after explaining a little about why I am here.

Well first off, I am a HUGE disney freak. My daughter has every princess you can imagine and I am a big kid buying from disneydirect everyweek.

I am already married but we are renewing our vows next year. We never had the big wedding, we did the court house thing. I so badly want a disney themed wedding.

I will not be getting married at WDW so I hope I can still post here?!?!

Can you all offer any suggestions? I was really liking the cinderella theme and found a bunch of stuff cheap on Ebay but I don't know what color the girls would wear. We were thinking Silver but I am not set on it. I really like red and thought about Mickey and Minnie.

Can you all help? Ideas? Suggestions from anything to everything? Favors, centerpieces?!?!

THANKS

Hi Chris,

I too am doing a Disney themed wedding since we can't afford to do it in FL. The colors are going to be pink and silver. My girls will wear pink and the guys are going wear silver vests under their tuxes. There are so many choices for invitations. This is the site I am getting my invitations from http://www.fairytalewedding.com/. They are so nice and even sent me samples for free. I am also going to get one of the white chocolate castle cake toppers. I am still deciding on centerpieces but am looking into Cinderella snow globes. Let me know if you have any specific questions. I'm happy to help any way I can!

We got married in May 2004 and just like you, we couldn't do the wedding in Disney so we brought some subtle Disney into our wedding back home.
We had a total fairytale Cinderella wedding. We used that same website www.fairytaleweddings.com for our invitations and our one of a kind castle programs. They were wonderful and very helpful. We used instrumental music of classic disney love songs that the flute and harp played just prior to our ceremony beginning. Our reception site looked like a castle so we were on the right track with the backdrop to our event. Our colors were periwinkle and silver. Girls wore periwinkle dresses, guys wore silvervests and ties. We used white roses with periwinkle-colored flowers in all the decor.
We used a castle that lit up as our cake topper (ebay) and used a second castle to top our custom made wedding card holder box. We had small glittery castle votives lit on the table underneath the candelabra of flowers.
What is great is that it was very subtle but yet people noticed our attention to detail. And the best of all was in the end, my DH and I were Cinderella and Prince Charming.
Best of luck!
