Hi I am Misty from Central Alberta and my family and I are going to WDW in August 15 for 9 days then off to Miami for 5 days. I am a Travel Agent . I have told my kids yet we are telling them last day of school . There is my DH and myself and my kids DS 11 and DD9 and DD7 . I am so excited and can't wait to tell my kids but we wanted to surprise them. So if anyone has any good tips on travel with kids or WDW that would be great. :cheer2: :wave2:

we are going in july my kids have been last year but my sisters children have not and they don't know there going. I have created a big loot bag for all the kids its filled with candy and gum The younger kids are getting a small flashlight for any of the rides that are dark I put disney tattoos the girls have makeup this bag is for the plane so if they get a little nervous we have something to take teir minds off the plane we also got each child an autoghraph book with a special pen.

Now I have a question for you since your a canadian travel agent what is the price difference of changing from 5 day hopper passes to 7 day hopper passes 2adults 1 child my TA quted 168 dollars I've posted for more info from anyone but have only recieved a couple replies everyone seems to thing that it sounds like to much money hope you can help me I have to decide with in the next 2 weeks

Hi thats sounds about right actually for the tickets however I am not going through my whole salers for my tickets they are way more expensive then going online . I know sounds terrible but hey I need cheap too lol. I am doing up gift bags with beach stuff and I am doing a book which they have to read and figure out by the clues where there going. I ike yout Idea too. If you have anymore question ask away. :cool1:

Welcome to the Dis! My number 1 tip is stay onsite (you don't say whether you are or not, but it really is worth it). Also, take breaks, go back to the resort and swim. Your impulse might be to try an do everything, but it's not possible and you'll burn yourself and your family out. Guidebooks are useful. I like PassPorter.

Congratulations on finding us. This is a terrific board! Happy posting. :flower:

:wave2: Hi & Welcome. There is tons of good information on all the different forums. Everything you wanted to know :) and more :earseek:

Welcome to the DIS!!!

If this is your first trip in a while, I would recommend getting a book called the Unofficial Guide to WDW and read it cover to cover with a hilighter...

After that, We are here to help...Glad you found us. We always need new people on the Canadian board... :cheer2:

:wave2:

Just wanted to say welcome! Any questions you have can almost always be answered on the DIS! :flower: As a general tip for everyone with or without kids I say go to WDW with a plan of attack. It will really help you get the most of the experience.

WELCOME TO THE DIS BOARDS! I am also a travel agent (from Southern Ontario) and find these threads extremely helpful for tips for clients. I haven't been using the wholesalers for any Disney stuff because with the exchange rate I book everything thru WDW Travel. If you need any help this is the place to go.

Have a great trip!

Teresa :flower:

P.S. Are you experiencing floods where you live or is it only in Drumheller and Edmonton right now?

Welcome to the DIS boards. I'm sure you will have a blast. I'm not sure I could keep it a secret.I think everyone knows in Ontario that I'm going and I've still got 2 and a half months to go. Co-workers (who haven't been to Disney)just don't understand!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
All the tips mentioned are good ones. Stay on site, have some sort of plan in mind and have fun fun fun!!!

 Welcome to the DIS boards, Mistyhon...there is lot's of info and tips on these boards, and if you don't find an answer to a question you have...ask away :confused3 there are no dumb questions.
I see your staying for 9 days at the World, so my suggestion would be to Plan, plan, plan...you have lot's of time, so you don't need to "commando" the parks, especially with 3 young ones...and after you have done your planning...be flexible :teeth:

...and I forgot....LOT'S of pictures and videotape...so many memories to capture :goodvibes

Congratulations on your upcoming trip! I, too, am a (part-time) Central Albertan. Welcome to the boards. I have recently turned my mom on to these boards, and she absolutely loves them. Now, every time we talk, Disney is brought up, and I can't say I'd want it any other way. Take a bit of time, and just look at all the different topics on these boards. The information is plentiful, and the people are great!
