Hi there! Newbie here :) 2011 reservations?

I just have a few questions that have been on my mind! I hope this is an ok spot to post....

We decided that we are going to WDW in early February, 2011

Any idea on when 2011 reservations start?

Weather in February? Shorts and tees? The occasional hoodie? How about sandals/crocs, cold feet? We're from MN so going from winter in MN to winter in FL should be a niiiice transition, lol.

Tour Guide Mike and Touring Plans...do you pay and then the info is unlimited, or is it just a yearly thing and I should sign up closer to our trip?

The consensus I have gotten about Tour Guide Mike is that it isn't worth the money currently as it isn't constantly updated and you can find about 95% of the information (if not more) on these forums.

As for February, if you are going the week of President's Day or later, it will be busy. The first two weeks aren't bad though.

That reminds me! Yeah, we are *planning* on going approx February 4th thru the 10th, it looks like President's holiday that year is the 20th, so we should be long gone by then, lol.

Oh, and we plan to be at MK on the 5th, my DS's 4th birthday Has anyone's kiddos ever celebrated a bday at WDW?

Sounds like a perfect time to go, especially from MN. I'm in IL and come February I'm BEGGING for some warmer temps - so I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
You can celebrate birthday there. I suggest reading through some of the posts here on the disboards - you'll learn SO Much and you've got a lot of time to plan!!!

We always go in February. It's the only time of the year we have time to vacation.

The weather in Florida can be down right chilly, all the way to HOT! It just depends on the year. One day we were swimming in the pool, the next day we had to buy sweatshirts while we were in the parks because it was so windy and chilly.

I doubt you'll be able to make your reservations until next year sometime.

I don't have the answers to any of your questions. I just wanted to say hello and that I'm glad someone else is planning a trip in 2011.

Actually our first trip in 2005 was taken in celebration of my DD's 18th birthday. Her birthday is in March and we went in May. I told the front desk and Mickey sent her a birthday card with his picture and birthday wishes. She loved it!
