HI! :wave2: New to this site, just found it, looks like loads of fun,.

I am what I like to think of as somewhat a Disney veteran, my family travels freqently (try to go every year). Last year was our first year during Christmas time, right after Thanksgiving. I found this to be fantastic and I really enjoyed it. Did MVMCP last year and had a blast. We plan on going again and wonder if anyone can give me any tidbits about this time of year (again right after Thanksgiving) with the fun Christmas stuff and the Christmas party.

I am also meeting a friend down there and we are planning a day of fun. :cool1:
Even though we are adults we want to do the scavenger hunt in the Magic Kingdom, any info on this? And we are wanting to try the parasail at the Contemporary.

Any info on any of the above would be greatfully appreciated!
Thanks!

no advice. never been that time of year. just wanted to say welcome! :wave2:

An interesting thing for me at this time was to go visit the Mk resorts and see the Christmas decorations. It was great to see the different themes.

Also, at World Showcase, they have different entertainers presenting December traditions that have to do with that country and this was interesting as well.

I travelled down just after Thanksgiving as well this year for my first time and I found that there was a lot to do on top of the normal theme parks.

Epcot - definitely go around the world to see all the different Santas. They were short and a nice way to travel through the countries. Also, do the Candlelight Processional. We stood and watched (not knowing that we HAD to get a package to get seats that day). It was beautiful but I definitely wished that I had a seat!

MGM - supposedly the Osborne Lights are coming back this year

Also, I really liked watching the tree-lighting ceremonies at the parks and just looking at the decorations there.

I can't be of any help on the other stuff

Welcome:D

We've never gone during that time of year, so no hints there... However we have tried parasailing:D It's a lot of fun, although a tad scary if you allow yourself to think too hard when you're up there! We went separately rather than tandem since together we're over the 350 lbs. weight limit. It doesn't last very long, only about 8 minutes up in the air. You're strapped in and they let you out very smoothly and very slowly until before you know it you're up there. The only part I didn't like was how you would shake a bit when turning corners. I have a too-active imagination... Also, if it is below 50 degrees or if it's too windy, they close. We had to reschedule twice, but finally got to go.

Here's a link with more info.:

Have fun:D
