Hi - just flew in this morning and are all exhausted but we had a wonderful time!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

First time with the children - and totally different from how I expected it to be!!::yes::

Believe it or not our highlight was Islands of Adventures (yes - with a 4 year old and a 9mth old!!):rotfl2: They absolutely loved Seuss' landing - I am so glad I bought the Dr Seuss books at xmas - I think we could have spent the whole three weeks in that one area!!:rotfl:

In fact overall we liked Universal Orlando the best - The Hard Rock Hotel was absolutely fabulous (especially the buffet breakfast at the Kitchen:worship: ) and getting the water taxi to the park and the whole laid back feel was great!!!:goodvibes I think it really benefits from being so much smaller than Disney and having the city walk altogether - plus FOTL access for onsite guests is great - all in all - I think the children just enjoyed it so much more as they weren't so tired and irritable as they were with all the queueing and travelling around Disney!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

However we still loved Disney (really loved the new Toy Story Mania ride!!  ) and the poly was great - just wish we'd stayed there for the entire disney 'bit' as transferring to the Lindfields villa seemed like a bit of a 'come down' after that!!:duck: (nothing wrong with the villa's location, but was looking a bit run down and shabby i'm afraid!!)

Aquatica was lovely - but Blizzard Beach was THE best water park for our young 'uns!!!:cool1:

Really enjoyed Tusker House character brekkie, Boma dinner and Shark Grill at Seaworld too!!:yay: :yay:

Oh and we both thought the 3 day cruise was way too short - blink and we missed it!!! - oh well just lucky I've booked for a 7 night next time!!:rolleyes1

I'll be off now for a rest - but I'll be back very soon as I have a 4 week xmas trip for 2010 to plan!!! (Can't afford to go before - but never mind - planning's half the fun anyway isn't it!!):yay: :yay:

Welcome home
1st cruise we did was a 4 nights on Wonder, that was too short so can imagine how you feel after a 3 night. 7 nights are way better, August 09 our next Disney cruise, Western itinery.:cloud9:

Sounds like a great trip, can we please see some photos?

welcome back, sounds like you had a great trip:goodvibes

Glad you had such a good time. We are staying at the Hard Rock in July and know exactly what you mean about staying onsite at Universal. We felt it was so relaxing last year.

How much was the buffet breakfast at the Hard Rock and what were the choices? You obviously liked it, was it just the quality of the food or the choice? Is there anywhere, where you can pick up snacky food actually at Hard Rock, like a sandwich to take back to your room? Thanks for any info you can give.:)

your hol sounds exactly like mine!! we've got 2 nights at poly, 3 nights disney wonder, then 2 and a half weeks in lindfields (whereabouts was your villa in lindfields).
would love to see your pics!!!

It sounds like you all had lots of fun.

Hi - thanks everyone for their comments:goodvibes (I haven't ever figured out how to do multiple quotes so you'll have to excuse the way i'm replying!!!:rotfl:

Wicket2005 – When I get my Visa bill through I’ll let you know the cost of ‘The Kitchen’ - It was awesome!!:cool1: – they seemed to have everything imaginable and then some – and it was all really fresh!! We sat outside on the patio and it was just a really lovely way to start the day!! (Plus as a really nice touch, they ask you if you want coffee to go – and bring out paper cups refilled for you to take with you as you wander over to the parks!!:thumbsup2

Karentan – Hi!! You will have a great time I’m sure – I think there may be a Lindfields, as well as a Lindfields Reserve (although I’m not sure!!;) ) – Lindfields Reserve is in a great spot right on the 192 (and literally only 5 mins from AK and no more than 10 from the rest of Disney!!::yes:: ) There were no more than 15 – 20 houses in the whole community (Its almost like the builders ran out of money as there is alot of unused waste land:confused3 ) – there was nothing wrong with it really – so I don’t want to put you off – I think probably we were spoilt a little by what we had done before and plus we hadn’t thought about the tiled floors which proved a real headache with our 9mth old ‘cruising’ son –;) we couldn’t even be more than 2 inches from him in case he cracked his head!! (very relaxing - not!!:rotfl: )– I will try and get some photos for you (I’ve never attempted anything so brave before!!!:hyper: )

Scojos (Tracy) – Hi again!! :goodvibes (Great memory by the way!!!!:thumbsup2 ) - We never made it to WCC in the end :worried: – Kai found MK a bit overwhelming so while we were at the Poly we ended up cancelling quite a few ADRs and just went with ‘the flow’ – but I figure it will be a definite next time!!! ;) ;)

And to everyone else - yes I am planning to do a trip report (I need my Disney fix somehow!! :rotfl2: - as I'm not sure even I can spend the whole of the next 2 & 1/2 years just planning the next holiday!!:lmao: - it just may take a while until my mum (yes my MUM!!:rotfl: ) teaches me how to add photos!!!

Thanks Amy, I appreciate that. I quite fancy eating breakfast outside.
