Hello! After about a week of reading these boards, I've decided to introduce myself. I am engaged and in the beginning stages of planning a DFTW. I have an initial consultation on Tuesday morning and am SO excited! I've really enjoyed reading your trip reports and hearing your plans....You guys are answering a lot of my questions! And after reading your posts, I know that Randy is the ONLY way to go for photography

Thanks! Hopefully I will have some adventures to report! I drive up Monday, I figure I'll spend the day at the hotel or at DT Disney and my friend who is a CM is going w/ me on Tuesday. I am making notes with all of my questions!

Glad to meet another "newbie" - everyone seems to have been chatting on here for awhile! I'm from NJ too...actually my whole still lives there....I don't have much interest in having a wedding up there, if you know what I mean! Besides, if I had it close to "home," I'd have to invite 3X the guests, and they would all show up!

I am having a custom wedding at the WP and GF this June. Actually I'll be driving up on Monday, too! I have meetings with some photographers (Randy is booked on my day). Then I'll be driving back home and coming back up on Tuesday to have a hair trial! (I have class Monday night, so I can't stay up there). Hope you have a great time!

Wow! That's a lot of back and forth! I live in So. Fla too, but driving up Monday and coming back Tuesday is enough of a haul for me!!!! I can't imagine driving up and down 2 days in a row!!!!
I haven't booked anything yet, but I'm hoping for a custom at either Yacht Club or Boardwalk (Epcot - Italy, still a contender) on Nov. 5, 2007. Still not sure about the reception location (somewhere close to the ceremony site), but I want the ceremony in the morning so that I can have a lunch reception. I've got a lot of little ideas running through my head! I guess that's why I'm going up there!!!!

I have only lived in So Fla for 3 years (from NJ) but almost all of my guests are coming from Jersey! (It's just me and DF down here).
I think everyone in this thread is either from So. FL or NJ!!!! I feel right at home!

It's AWESOME being only 3 hours away! It's just close enough to go for a short get-a-way, but far enough to feel like you're "away"....
I see you're planning a November wedding too! I know that it's "premium" season, but I hope that I don't have a problem getting my date! It's the best date for my family to come down.....

I live in North Fl and I love being able to just hop on the interstate and be in Disney in 2 1/2 hours, it's great I'll never be without my annual pass again!

WELCOME!! Im so glad you chose Randy-- seriously-- he is a one in a million photographer! Didnt you just LOVE his photos? I think this is a great decision that you will look back on and pat yourself on the back for!!

Ask as many questions as you need to!! We love adding people to the family!
