Hi i'm new with a question

Hi
I'm new on this board, a big Disney fan though. We're off to DLP in 15 days and i have question.
We've been numerous times around this time of year, but i can't remember, are there any fireworks shows in the evening when they do the lighting of the castle?

We're stopping at the Explorers hotel too, it's nice to read some good reviews, i'm really looking forward to stopping there. Just wondering how far the walk is to the parks.

No, there are no fireworks now unfortunately, until New Years Eve.
The Explorers is along at the end of the road past the Santa Fe and over the roundabout. I've never even attempted to walk it, but I guess it would be a good 10-minute walk from the Santa Fe, and so about 25 minutes walk from the parks.

When I stayed at the Explorers, it was first pick-up and first drop-off on the shuttle which serves the associated hotels, so it was nice and handy to use the shuttle (bit of a scrum getting on them at the end of the park day, but no more than the onsite hotels shuttles).

It's a shame that there won't be any fire works but hey-ho. It'll still be fantastic and the lighting of the castle will be good.

I don't think we'll attempt the walk. I'll be 6 and a half months pregnant when i'm there so i am trying to keep walking to a minimum.
