My husband & I are going to Disneyland in July, 2008. I went to Disneyland years ago but didn't enjoy it because my ex-husband was a spouse abuser. Happy times now, I'm married to a man who is a kid at heart & a wonderful husband. This will be a combination of our birthdays & our 6th anniversary. My husband loves Disney as much as I do and we hope this will truly be a very good vacation for us.

Welcome to the Dis!

Keep hold of that hubby - Disney loving hubbys are hard to come across :rotfl: I'm determined to convert mine though!

Hi katy, :wave2:
My family and I will spending three nights @The Best Western Pioneer Square prior to our Alaskan cruise in August. Planning on doing the Duck Tour, Pikes Place Market, Mariners game, Nordstoms...just wondering if you had any insight, advice, recommendations, etc to make our stay more enjoyable! :goodvibes
Hope you have a magical trip to Disneyland! pixiedust:

I'm so excited for your trip! I live in downtown Seattle and my boyfriend and I are taking our first trip to WDW as a couple in September for my DBFF's wedding! She actually got engaged at DL.

I lucked out with my other half too! He turned out to work for Disney Internet Group!

Have an amazing vacay!

If you like Thai food, Seattle is the place to eat it! There are wonderful places all over the city to eat Thai. Seattle is definitely famous for it! I live a few blocks from the Duck tour office and there's some delicious Thai food in that neighborhood.

I like Thai but the rest of the family isn't crazy about it...
any other recommendations? What can you tell us about The Best Western Pioneer Square area? :confused3
:thanks:

What can you tell us about The Best Western Pioneer Square area?

Pioneer Square is the "old town" here and the downtown area isn't very big so you should be able to walk to the market, and from the market to the waterfront. I would do the Duck first, then back track to places you find interesting.

There's something called Seafair that goes on here every summer so I'm sure you'll find street fairs and a parade or two around. PM me closer to your travel dates if you like, and I'll send you some info about what's happening that weekend! Enjoy my city! The only thing I don't like about it is how far away it is from WDW!
