Hi my DIS friends! I'm baaaack! Of course, I'd rather be "home"!!! I did have the chance to meet Fern! We talked for awhile in MK as I was enjoying my Dole Whip Float!! I told her that when we plan another trip, she's got to come along!!

We'll be getting to BLT on the 13th. We have a water view. i wouldn't mind this view at all

I thought you were staying at SSR again? You'll love BLT!! I thought it was beautiful!!

So I had some time on my hands this evening...decided to go back & re-read some of this thread from years ago.....all I can say is WOW. The ups & downs we've been through...Timmy's dad's passing, Deb's heart attack, Terri's mom being so ill....it's like we're one big family through thick & thin. Then there's the upside - the exciting posts of whem someone makes a trip official & all the excitement of planning that follows. We'll soon be at page 250 & need to start up a new thread...but there's a whole history in this one! Hopefully now that is getting colder outside more of us will be inside on the computer, and chatting on this thread again.

I think after the holidays we need a PA DIS Meet!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, this thread has been around for awhile!! I've met nice people, who are now my friends!!!

27 days and 2009 is over... I agree Tara.. this thread had seen alot this year and hopefully more good times to treasure in the upcoming year.

I am so blessed to have found you Pa'ers... it all started with a thread for P.A. and look where are we now... great laughs, great company and best friends!!!

Hi Tara and everyone else from PA... we're seeing some snow at the moment, so exciting!

Its been a while since I checked into this thread. I like the idea of a PA Dis meet, someone mentioned one to me before but I was too slow to get in on it but this sounds like it could be nice. Count me in as long as your not doing the 1st week of March when we'll be in WDW

Tara, do you still work at the shop you mentioned before? I have some shopping to do over there and it would be nice to stop in to say hi.

Hi LuvOrlando! It's flurrying here too! Yes I still work at Yankee Candle in The Promenade. Today's my last weekend day off til 2010 so I'm staying in my jammies & baking 6 batches of Christmas cookies. Let it snow!!!

Where are you staying in March? I have a ressie on hold (thanks to a dear PA DIS friend who is renting me DVC points!) for 3/3-8 at BWV. I'm hoping everything else falls into place - requesting off work, kids sports schedules, airfare, etc. so I can finalize it soon.

The BWV look lovely, we've never stayed there but it must be very nice to be able to walk down from your room right into the thick of a nightlife hub. We're not sure where we're staying yet... I keep hoping discount codes will pop up but so far there's nothing for room only. At the moment we're booked at the POR FQ. I've never been there before and since it fits in nicely with my desire to stay everywhere at least once we may stay put. We usually don't go during peak months, I'm not used to the high room rates... WOW.

The next time I'm heading your way I'll let you know the day before so I don't surprise you with a badly timed pop in visit, maybe we can get coffee at that Starbucks and talk about our next trips.

Hello PA peeps!!! Snow is on the way! Or ice, or rain....a 2-hour school delay would be nice so we can all sleep in. FERN - I saw some pics your son posted on FB from your trip - looks AWESOME! Linda - waiting for some pics from your trip!!

Here was the AWESOME birthday cake Linda had ordered herself for all of us as a surprise!! It was in the room when we got there. I t was dark chocolate cake with a white chocolate filling - OMG to die for!!

Thanks to Tara for the invite over here! I'm Marcy (well, duh...my screen name! LOL) and I'm in Bethlehem...within walking distance of downtown. I don't know when we'll get back to Disney. My DS14 is DONE with it... but my DS10 keeps asking me to take just him. That may or may not happen later this summer or early fall. I teach preschool, and we start a little later than Bethlehem, so just maybe I'll yank him out of school for a few days in early September. He'll be starting middle school, so we'll have to see how that goes...

Welcome Marcy!!! I was just over in Bethlehem earlier today, small world. I'm in Lower Saucon. I also have 2 boys, almost 13 and 9 1/2. I've taken each of them alone by myself & had wonderful trips. I tend to go to WDW with the girls more than my family, so we're taking a family trip next month. 4 weeks from today to be exact. It's ESPN weekend when we go so I'm hoping DH will take the boys to that so I get some "me" time in the parks alone! After that it's back to girls only trips LOL!!!

Have you ever gone to Billy's Downtown Diner on Broad? They have Tonga Toast (a WDW original at Kona Cafe at Poly) - if you haven't tried it at Billys - DON'T!!!! Yuck! Not even similar to the WDW version, I don't know what they are thinking. HakMat & I go to Billy's for breakfast every now & then.
