Hello everybody,

I am new here and have a quick question. We are planing our first trip to Disney the last week of August. We are traveling with my 2 yr old DD, DH, brother/sister inlaw. I was just wondering how is the weather during August. We are also staying at Sheraton Vistana Resort. I was also wondering if anybody has stayed here before and how do you liked it.

I am so exicted and trying to plan as much as I can early. Thank you so much for any help, or advise you might have.

Welcome to the board. Hate to say it, but August is one of our hottest months. But, if your planning like you said you can avoid the highest temp. in the afternoon.

Welcome to the Dis, you've come to the right spot for answers. Disney in August is Hot, no way around it but it's the only week that my family and I go. The park is less crowded than in the summer and since the park is open longer you can take a break during the hottest part of the day and go swimming or just chill in your hotel room. Since you are staying off site, you might want to consider having your own transportation, I find its worth the extra expense to be able to come and go without a long wait.

Welcome!! August is hot but if you are careful and take breaks you will be fine. Make sure you stay hydrated!!
