Hi Amber! I'm here!!!

You can't possibly be coming up on 40! You look like you're my age (32)! What a beautiful family you have! :goodvibes

I'm so excited you're heading to WDW for your birthday! :thumbsup2

Ha ha thanks! My friends think it's hiliarious that I get carded everywhere we go, including the casino. My principal still doesn't believe my "real" age but it's ok. I'll enjoy it for now. The funny thing is I want Botox for a crease line in my forehead that I've had forever.

Hi Amber! Yay, more Seahawks fans! Lol! Seahawks football and Kings hockey are all I hear about in my house. DS & DH still refuse to take down their 12th Man flag off the front of the house.

Your family is adorable! Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. :)

hey there. The best way to figure it out is go to the menus and prices. don't forget the counter service, tips and snacks.
add it up see if it's worth the DDP. IF the DDP is offered FREE obviously it's worth it too!

WOW! That camper looks amazing!! Where do you rent those from?
Congratulations on the 100 lbs. Wow! I am struggling with losing now. I have a thyroid disease and when my dr put me on meds a year ago when it was diagnosed he warned me that I would gain weight but eventually my numbers would even out and I would be able to lose it. I took it with a grain of salt but he wasn't kidding. I gained about 25 lbs in 10 months! :crazy2: My numbers are much better so I am working hard to try to get back down. Its so not fun.
Your family seems great!
My kids are obsessed with those red balls outside of Target too.

Just got a chance to get caught up again. What a beautiful camper...I mean...big ol' rolling turd. Yep, we've seen RV more times than I can count. I love all of the intro pictures! Such a beautiful family with such sweet smiling faces. We've had meals at several of the places that you have on your list and some are even reviewed in my report.

Oh my husband is already planning our Vegas trip around our 12th man flag. Where can we possibly take photos with it...lol! Last year we went out to a game in Seattle and while having dinner we a woman stopped to talk to us and asked us if we had come from the game. My husband said yes and asked her if she had been and she said of course I am Richard Sherman's mom. A few seconds later Richard Sherman walked past us and my husband had to jump and ask him if they could take a selfie. Lol.

The problem with the DDP is the girls both get charged as adults and they still always eats kids meals, and normally don't finish those. I don't think FW qualifies for free dining.

I know the feeling they put me on steroids prior to my surgery and the weight came on quickly, plus I wasn't allowed to run or workout at the time. Then DH and others were in charge of meals while I recovered and I ate things I would not normally touch. Its going to be a process. I think I need to bite the bullet and try Whole30. Since it follows the formula I was on while running. Its crazy how much this extra weight interfere with my running. Good luck getting it off!

Thanks I've been trying to read everyones threads from before and see if they have eaten at those places in particular. The menus and photos have been a huge help as well.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

So this week has been a struggle, I came home 2 days in a row from teaching with the stomach flu. Finally started feeling better and went in today and before the bell rang the school nurse was calling to tell me DS Austin had gotten sick all over in his classroom. So now we are both home resting. Well actually my goal today is to wash bedding and bleach so that no one else gets sick. Its actually suppose to hit 70 next week, which is great because we need to air this house out and kill the germs. It was such a long winter again.

I spent the last 2 days playing around with ideas while we are WDW. We thought about going off property for a day but then decided we should save that for another trip, since there is so much we want to see and do. Our TA and I decided we should plan park days everyday even if all we do is use our FP+. Since its a busy time of year, we could get up in the morning or wait until afternoon and hit some rides and come "home" to the camper. We don't plan on making everyday all day park days. My questions is with our ages do we:

3 MK, 2 Epcot, 1 DHS, and 1 AKL (Most of the rides we want are at MK)
2 MK, 2 Epcot, 2 DHS and 1 AKL
3 MK, 1 Epcot, 2 DHS and 1 AKL

I'm confused because there is more at DHS that our kids would want to do then at Epcot. They all love Star Wars (want to do Jedi training) including DH and the men in the family have an addiction with Indiana Jones. The girls of course like Beauty and the Beast as well as Frozen. We also have kiddos who I could see wanting to ride Toy Story more than once. RNR and TOT will probably be more single line riders, if thats possible, the only 2 I think that will try those are myself and oldest DD Jenny.

Thanks for reading and hope everyone has a great week!

LOL, me, too. Someone asked me a few weeks ago if our 13-year-old son is my brother :)

Joining in!

Thoughts appreciated:

BOG Dinner
Crystal Palace Breakfast
Sanaa
Crossroads House of Blues
Liberty Tree Tavern (Lunch)
Ohana Breakfast: I need my Lilo fix:)
Chef De France
Tutto Italia or La Hacienda
1900 Park Fare Dinner

BoG is my favorite restaurant at WDW. Awesome ambiance, awesome food. Ask to be seated in the West Wing.

Haven't eaten at Crystal Palace, but a lot of people love it. Same with Sanaa.

Haven't eaten at HoB, and know nothing about it :)

Liberty Tree was ok for dinner, but nothing special. Nice character interaction, though. Is it still a character meal?

LOVE Ohana, but haven't had breakfast there.

Chefs du France is good, but not my favorite. When we were there, the staff was doing a fun trick with an animatronic Remy.

Tutto was good, not great. But as you know from reading my TR, I'm not the biggest fan of getting Italian food out. Haven't eaten at La Hacienda.

1900 Park Fare dinner is also good, but not great. HOWEVER, they have Cinderella's evil stepsisters there now, I believe, and they are THEE BEST characters in all of WDW.

Ultimately, it's tough to go wrong with WDW dining, IMO. Even the worst places are better than a lot of places back home.

Also, "3 MK, 2 Epcot, 1 DHS, and 1 AKL" sounds like the best plan to me. You need AT LEAST two days to fully appreciate Epcot, and DHS and AKL can be done in a day, typically. If the kids really want to spend more time at DHS, swap out an MK day.

Following along!! That camper is AWESOME!!! We are making our first trip to WDW in October, it is going to be a short one and only going to MK because we basically just want to go to the MNSSHP, we have been to DL twice and I am totally lost with what to do to prepare for WDW....I have my calendar marked for BoG reservation though but I know nothing about FP+ getting to and from the park and DTD or anything else really!!! We are staying at the All Star Movie resort and just doing one full day at MK and then the day for the party

Oh NO!!! So sorry your sick! the flu is the worst!!! 70?!?!? your going to have 70 weater?!?!? seriously?!?! I am SO JEALOUS!!! I hope you feel better in time for your beautiful weather!

2 MK, 2 Epcot, 2 DHS and 1 AKL

This is my pick. only my opinion. Mk deserves 2 to 3 visits.. because is it MAGIC KINGDOM!!!
Epcot is our most magical - things just happen here then any other park! Also it's host to a couple of our favorites. the same goes for HS- fantastic park awesome rides great food most entertaining street performers!! AK you can get through in a half day.

Just my humble opinion!

Feel better my friend!

Hey Amber

I have no idea how I missed your ptr until now, but I'm all subbed up. Congrats on the impending birthday and trip. As you probably know I did 40 in Disney and it was perfection. Can't wait to have ya join the club

I can't believe how fancy that rv is - it's so fancy, I don't even know. It's in the FW lane, MK to Epcot-o ; )

Love your intros. The 6 dwarfs family is beautiful,

Hope you are feeling better

Thanks I am not sure about Liberty Tree being a character meal...it may have been before but I don't see anything about it being one now. It actually has the menu I think are entire family will like the best. We are huge Italian food fans, the kids would pick Olive Garden over anything so I think Tutto Italia is a definite. Actually think we may do the Chef de France as the 2nd choice or we may just eat around the park one day.

Between the Dis and a few Facebook groups I've found (feel free to friend me) and the help of our TA, I am learning lots. Im actually grateful with our schedule that we have a TA to make our ADR's and FP+ reservations.

Thanks I am feeling better. Plus its 6:45 on a Friday night and everyone is in bed but me lol. DH had to go in last night to be able to stay home with DS today, so he's catching up from his all nighter and the kids are all laying in bed quietly watching shows. Disboard time for me!!!

I know isn't it amazing...I am beyond excited. We were in such a whirlwind debating renting points, moderate vs value, staying off property when that photo appeared on my FB. I showed it to DH and he said book it. So it was a done deal!

Feeling much better today! I actually got to stay at school all day!

*************************************************************************************************************************

So I've had this crazy idea to try sewing. I was given a sewing machine by my parents when my great aunt passed away and I have never touched it. DH learned to sew in the Army but I can't even thread a needle. The DD's really want these pillowcase dresses and I'd love to get them Disney themed ones made before we leave. So since I have plenty of time...I've decided to give it a try. Going to get some cheap material at Hobby Lobby tomorrow and start messing around and see what happens. Luckily while I am at the high school with some of my students I am able to talk with one of our teachers. She even gave me some sheets to practice different sewing techniques on and some pointers for starting.

On the WDW front we are going to try and get DH a later flight on Monday, so we can have 2.5 days at MK, 2 days at Epcot, 2 days at DHS, and 1 day at AKL. The kids and I can leave later on that day...we only need to get about 8 hours in the car that day for me to make the next day a doable trip and get home. The benefit of teaching is that I don't have to be back at any certain time. When DH flies both ways we are able to maximize our trip.

So our school, well actually our state is in a debate about the school start date. We normally start around August 12th but the state wants us to start after the state fair which is at the end of August. Its caused a lot of issues with getting out the 2015-2016 school calendar. I was originally hoping we could leave for WDW earlier. Soooo....the RV is available at those earlier dates and if we find out in the next few weeks that we get out sooner. Well then we may try to leave next year around June 6. I've heard the sooner we go there the better, as well as the fact the entire family really wants to be there for Star Wars!!!

Hope everyone has a magical weekend!

Decided that in order to keep a visual of the kids...I'm going to keep them in matching outfits or at least color coded:) Wish me luck as I embark on this process and pray my OCD doesn't take over. I'm going to even break out the sewing machine. :rotfl2:

Following along!! I'm so excited to hear about what it's like to camp at the world! Also your kids are adorable. The Peoplemover is one of my fave rides of all time at MK. We had lunch at BOG and it was great and I've heard only good things about dinner but we couldn't get a ADR there on our trip. But with you planning so far out it shouldn't be an issue!! I look forward to hearing all about your planning and trip!

Awesome! I am exciteed to see what you come up with! ;)

D~

Maybe I'll have to match my outfits around my bag lol!!!

Thanks for joining in! We are very excited, especially about the Fort although the kids may end up being the most excited about the golf cart after the reveal:)

ohh! i cannot wait to see how they turn out! my sewing machine scared the bejesus out of me.. I just know i will sew something together like my fingers...

Hope they get the school stuff straightened out soon!

Wow, you must have some serious sewing skills. As someone who literally flunked home ec (my parents were so proud) I'm so envious of anyone that can sew. Looking forward to seeing what ya come up with
