Hey everyone, new to the forums and really interested to read all the reviews and great tips for our upcoming WDW trip.

Staying at POR in October and we're celebrating my DD's 5th birthday at the MK on the 22nd! Honestly, I'm just as excited about it as she is, and I've been to WDW 5 times previously. But haven't been back since 2005.

Does anyone have any good suggestions, forums/threads, for celebrating their child's birthday in Disney. I've setup some Character meals, H&V on the 21st for breakfast, and CP on the 22nd for lunch, and BOG for dinner on the 22nd. And a makeover at the BBB on the 21st in DD. But is there anything that I should really try to squeeze in? It's just a 5 day trip with the DW, DD (birthday girl), DD (2), and MIL, so I'm afraid we won't have enough time.

Your little girl is going to have an amazing 5th birthday! My two cent advice is to make sure you get as many photos/videos as you can. When she's all grown you'll want to be able to remind her of this special time your family had together.

On the other hand, make sure that you're not spending your ENTIRE vacation behind a lens. Make sure you're able to truly enjoy the moments. I think you've got a great plan.

Thanks for the warm welcome all! And Kristina4109, absolutely. The DW is all set to take pictures galore. But I completely agree that you can get caught up and forget to engage as much as you should.

It will be great, and hoping to finally talk the DW into taking the plunge in the DVC. Been trying for a couple years, but hoping to take a tour and that will seal the deal.
