Hi from MD. Need ideas to keep the magic alive until our trip in January.

Does anyone know how I can pull quotes from multiple posts? I wasn't sure how to do it, so I basically went to each person's post and made all of my replies separately. Any help would be appreciated.
LOL..:rotfl::rotfl: When you figure it out--please let me know. I do the same..Isn't the Disney store magical--I think it makes it feel more like Christmas when I am there.( I tend to lose my Christmas spirit at various times of the season.) All I need to do is visit NYC Disney store-the cold streets plus the lights makes it rush back!!!:santa:....My personal gift to myself is to visit DW on an actual Christmas week. I know that this will take me years... but I will try until its made possible.

Hello! We are in Dundalk (Baltimore County). No we are not flying, we are driving. Yes, we are doing the DDP. I have searched for food posts on the disboards, where people post pictures of their meals and tell you which restaurant, but haven't found any yet. I know there is a link, I'm just not that good at navigating the board yet.

Are you planning a trip soon?

Wow that is a long drive! DS2 gets car sick so we fly. We got great rates out of BWI to MCO (Orlando) non-stop for $49 each way.

There is a restaurant board on the DIS but I haven't been on there too much. Surf around there and I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for.

We have 2 trips in the works - Halloween and January (for my DD's sweet 16). We're DVC owners and usually go twice a year. :goodvibes

My son would love this idea. He is a sticker freak. Though it may be hard for him to post the stickers on the poster board instead of his face. He loves wearing stickers all over his face and arms. (ha ha) He is 2 years old!

We got the roll stickers from Oriental Trading for about $5 for a roll of 100 stickers. They have Mickey Mouse, CARS, Handy Manny, Princess and lots more Disney designs. These are the big fat stickers about 2" square like the kids get at the dentist or doctor's office. DS2 loves stickers too!

At the bottom right corner of each post there is a "+" sign. Click the plus sign for each post you want to quote then click "quote" on the last post you wish to quote and they all show up as text separated by brackets. :) Try it!

I live on Maryland's Eastern Shore (Easton) and we are planning our second family trip to Disney World in October. I'm so excited to see other Marylanders on the board. Like others, we have gone through Disney withdrawal after our awesome trip last October.:thumbsup2

We find we talk about our trip (still) every night at the dinner table and plan trips even when we know we won't be able to go. We don't actually make reservations, but we do go onto the Disney site and price trips all the time. Yeah, I know it makes me sound like a nut, but who are we hurting?

So now we are going back for six nights and I am so pumped up I can't stand it. Got a code for free dining and couldn't pass it up.popcorn::

We fly out of BWI, three of us round trip for $350, taxes included. Combine that with the free dining and how could we not go?

Oh, I forgot. I can't figure out the countdown clock either, so I can't help you there. If anybody knows how to do it, please let me know.

Another Marylander saying hello! Although I think I said hello to you over on the Snowbird thread :thumbsup2 I'm just across the Harford Co. border in Cecil. It's so nice to "meet" other local DIS fans!!!

I'm missing Rainforest too :sad2:

I'm having to keep myself busy until Jan too only I have to keep it under wraps since it's a surprise trip for my kids. And my DH isn't much of a help since he could give or take a trip to Disney- *gasp*!

Some other ideas...

A Hidden Mickey hunt- make some Mickey head silhouettes and hide them like a treasure hunt.

Read Disney Stories with your little one. Last Jan we picked a Disney bedtime story for the month leading up to the trip.

Lancaster PA outlets has a Disney Outlet- I just went last week and got some great deals for my kids.

Bake Mickey cupcakes or cookies with Mickey sprinkles for dessert- there's a place in Harford Co. called Stephanie's Sweets and I know she sells the sprinkles.

For your countdown you can go to Mickeypath .com or magicalkingdoms.com and make one. I'm sure there are other sites too but these are the two I've used. Just follow the instructions to plug in your info. Once you've made it just copy and paste the code into your signature on your Control Panel. You want to use the code that is called PseudoHTML, UBBCode or BBCode.

Oh I feel for you. I can't beleive your husband is not a Disney fanatic. I find it hard to believe that people can "take it or leave it" when it comes to Disney. Egad!!! My friends tease me all of the time and ask me why don't I go on an "adult" vacation. I tell them because I am not an adult. I am a kid at heart! ;)

I think it is pretty cool that I have received so many ideas on this thread. At first I didn't think anyone was interested, but now I have received many responses and feel very welcomed, so thanks to everyone. I have started to make my colorful Disney count down poster, I have my husband looking for Disney restaurant recipes, I have my Passporter and my Birmbaum Disney books, and I have started to buy a few things here and there to stash away for the vacation. Plus the most important thing is that I have enjoyed getting on Disboards and talking to you all, so the Disney "spirit" is definately alive!!! Yeah!!!

Ok, so I have loved all the feed back I got on this thread. And I have put those ideas into action. Thanks to everyone. However, at this point, I think I have more than enough ideas and am wanting to close this thread out. So I will not be posting anything else on this particular thread. There are far too many other interesting ones I want to be a part of. Take care everyone!!! May you dream "Disney" !!
