Hi there!

I am starting to plan our first trip with my son this October - he will be 3. I am really excited but the more I learn the more overwhelmed I am feeling! We have decided on staying at Movies for 7 nights but I am wondering what the best way would be to book our trip. We have AAA and I priced it to be $80 cheaper to get a package compared to directly with Disney. What are the pros/cons for going with AAA or with Disney??? I like to do things myself and be in control so I am kind of thinking booking right with Disney would be better and I am also hoping a discount or maybe free dining will come out during our dates (Oct 19-26). I know it is my decision but does anyone have any thoughts that may help me decide?? I guess I just don't want any surprises and want to make sure we get the best deal. Thank you!

:welcome:Dis Family :disrocks:

I have never booked with AAA but have heard many people have... I have always booked through Disney.

IMO - Every $ saved on a vacation makes it that much more easier... :thumbsup2

Have fun planning :goodvibes

Hey Hi even I am new here. Lets be friends and add me if you can.

Hi and welcome!

I've worked with AAA for a few trips and had no issues.

But, if I can offer a suggestion, why not consider a Disney Certified Travel Agent? There are a number of great ones out there, from Dreams Unlimited to Small World Vacations to Our Laughing Place Travel to Ears to You. All have travel agents who know their stuff-- they can offer you real solid advice.

For example, getting a reservation to the Wishes Dessert Party can be a huge pain, since no one seems to really know when they open up the book for each month. Yet my agent at Dreams Unlimited got us ADRs for our party of 11 for August (during the brief time when they had the August book open; it has since closed, apparently to be reopened closer to August.)

When the Summer Special came out, she changed our reservation. When there were no discounted rooms at the Beach Club, she changed us to the Yacht Club, saving us $1000, and then asked whether that was OK. (Um, for $1000??? YES, it was!!! Had it not been OK she would have changed us back to the Beach Club. ) Instead of spending hours on the phone with Disney, I checked my email at 10:30 (during a study hall at work) and found that we had saved $1000.

She's on top of the discounts, and called in our ADRs at 7 am, while I was on my way to school. I checked during Study Hall and found that we had gotten our ADRs, including the tough-to-get Be Our Guest dinner.

On the control issue, Tracey handles my requests. Last trip, I requested a Beach Club room with a balcony near Epcot, and got exactly that. She's never NOT gotten us any ADR I've requested. So the control issue isn't a problem for me.

Last year I have been visited Disney land in California with my whole family. It’s a nice place for get to gather. Tickets price are also very reasonable, my children and nephews enjoyed that trip a lot. The park area is awesome. Now I’m going to Yellowstone Tours with my friend for 4 day with getbustours in a reasonable price.
