Hope everyone is having a great march break. The weather is perfect here..... Not too hot, not too cold. We are staying at GCV in 2 studio's and trip has been perfect. I love how the hotel is right smack in the middle of everything. Short walking distance to both parks and downtown Disney!

Thursday we went into Disneyland for early entry and pretty much every ride we went on was a walk on or less then 20 minute wait. Longer waits we're only in the later afternoon. We were all exhausted so missed parade and fireworks in the evening!

Friday we we went and did the Warner brothers studio tour which was a great tour. Got to go on Ellen's set and just saw lots of cool stuff. After that we went to the walk of fame and Chinese theatre - been there, done that, got the t-shirt and sold it on Kijiji!! That's an attraction I will never do again..... The people wanting you to take pictures with them and the people wanting you to take their tour are just super aggressive..... I did not feel comfortable there at all. Then we drove down rodeo drive - pretty but no way was I shopping there! Then we hit the santa Monica peir which was cool! Then we got to drive back...... I will never again complain about Toronto traffic. At one point we counted 22 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic not including the highways that went over us!! Needless to say we stayed away from LA for the rest of the trip!!

Saturday was a bum around day..... Did some shopping, went swimming (pool was cold so was more like hot tubbing) and walked downtown Disney.

Yesterday we did CA - neat little park but Just not like the other Disney parks! Short waits in the morning then the waits got longer and longer all day. We skipped a few rides - toy story midway one, ferris wheel and a few others in that area due to the 1 hr waits. Hopefully today we can get to them since it's our last day. World of colour last nt was amazing!!

Have had dinner 2x at storytellers cafe and only because we couldn't get in anywhere else the 2nd time. Was not impressed with their dinner buffet..... Food was cold and just blech. That and the first night my 12yo DS with allergies ordered off the menu and had a quesadilla which was on the appetizer part..... He ate that and was still hungry so ordered a 2nd one and the server didn't go back to the chef..... Well that was an issue.... Ds said there was something 'different' about the 2nd one as it had something mushy in it and he tossed his cookies 5 hours later which makes me almost 99% sure that's why it happened.

I haven't had a comfortable feeling about his allergies and restaurants like I do at disneyworld at all. The chef was great but the servers don't seem as concerned about it..... Even last night after he ordered his dinner from the chef our server kept coming and offering DS' ice cream and other stuff that the chef said to stay away from.

Today we will be off to Disneyland again...... Once the rest of my family finishes snoring :confused3 then tomorrow it's off to Vegas for a few days!! Must keep MIL happy!!

How is the studio? Is the pull out comfy? We are in a studio for 10 nights next feb and would love some fb.Enjoy the rest of your trip!!!:wizard:

Mattress is nice and firm on the pull out...... Both of my boys (on a pull out in each room) say they are very comfy! And my oldest DS' is almost 18 and 6'2.5" so for him to be comfy is not an easy feat!!

You may have just missed the spring break crowds by a few days. Starting this week, I believe the crowds will descend, as spring break will be in full swing. I know BC schools are off this week and the next.

We have learned to stay away from Storytellers Cafe. Bad experiences there that we just don't eat there anymore. However, it was a wonderful place to eat in the early years. Now, not so much. We only go to Whitewater Snacks. If you go to S. Harbor Blvd, across the street from the DL main gate, you'll find a great restaurant, Mimi's Cafe. Definitely more enjoyable.

Santa Monica and the pier are fun places. Did you get to see the market that opens up on the weekend near the beach?

Have a great day at Disney and even more fun in Vegas! :goodvibes

Not much of a Spring Break for us :sad2: the weather couldn't be worse!

Well crowds yesterday were totally insane IMO!! We left the park at 1:30 and had only done 4 things..... TSM at CA then the horse drawn trolley to the top of main street, IASW then the train back to the bottom of main street. We gave up at that point and left to shop and have an early dinner.

Back into the park just in time for the parade (thank goodness MIL had her scooter so we got the wheelchair viewing area) then fireworks and we hung around for the 2 nd fantasmic. Just sat and people watched with my cinnamon tea latte..... I love doing that!!

After that crowds had died down and the 3 rides the boys wanted to re-do were walk on's..... Pirates, buzz and space tours. I like the pirates at DL much better then the pirates at WDW.

Today we are off to gramma's Disneyland!! She is very excited about Vegas. Hopefully we can get tickets to see the lion king!

Sounds like you are having a great time. We just got home from a Disney cruise /LA/Vegas run....but we did not go to Disneyland, and I have never been there before. I just could not get the people who we travelled with to stay in LA longer and skip Vegas....but the weather in Vegas was the best we had in the 2 weeks. Vegas, well I lost $200 in gambling which was quite good for 3 days of slot machines. Have fun and keep us informed on how the vacation is going.

Are the attractions the exact same as they are here in Florida? Crowds can't be the same as here in Florida. Just crazy crowds. Sounds like a fun trip. I'd love to do that side some year but flights alone would probably kill us!

Some are the same and others are just a bit different! The biggest differences we noticed were the little things like the line up area's don't seem as well planned like at DW IMO, more packed into a much smaller space, some rides we preferred at DL (pirates). And the castle is so tiny it's almost like the park just didn't have the Wow' factor like it does when you walk into the magic kingdom.... Or any of the Florida parks for that matter.

It still has its own charm and I'm glad we saw it! Was neat seeing the park that Walt built!
