Sorry about the mix-up! Long story short-I'm New! lol! Now, I am very glad to be here, and I will try my best to answer questions, but until then, I need one answered! We (13 YO, 8 YO, 47 YO, 50 YO) will be planning a trip to Disney World over X-mas 2005! We are splitting resorts. Can you please vote for the hotel we should end our stay at? Can you also post what you voted for, and where you would go first. Price is a factor... (so no GF ) Thanks, and once again sorry for the mess-up!

I choose WL to end with because it will best put you in the Christmas spirit. The decorations there are gorgeous, and the kids will love the pool, if it is warm enough to swim.

Since you are on a budget, begin with Port Orleans French Quarter. Very nice compact moderate with great CM's, nice theming and a great pool. The kids love the Serpent slide. Also, it is a short boat ride to DTD, if you have shopping to do.

Hi there! Welcome to the boards. I voted for the Contemporary for the end of your stay. I think you should start with the Yacht Club, since you obviously like that resort...hence your name. Plus, it's a wonderful resort, great location, and Stormalong Bay can't be beat. Then, I think you should end at a Magic Kingdom resort since you started with an Epcot resort. I personally don't like WL, but it's a fave on these boards. So, I voted CR. The CR definitely has the magic! And, you can walk to MK.

I am a HUGE Yacht Club fan. You didn't say exactly when you'd be there, but since you said "over" the holiday, I assumed you were coming BEFORE and leaving AFTER. So I think I'd start with Wilderness Lodge (VERY Christmas-y) and end with Yacht Club. The Yacht Club is my favorite resort (and yours too?) so I would save it to the end.


If you are leaving before Christmas, tho, I'd flip it and end with the Wilderness Lodge because, as another poster said, it'll definitely get you in the Christmas mood.

No matter what, you'll have a blast!

Thanks everyone! Yes, the Yacht Club is obviously one of my fav. resorts, along with WL,AKL,BW,POFQ, and sections of other resorts. We have not booked. We will probally come on the 19th, and stay 9 nights at one resort, and another 9 at another. I can conform this tho- we will be staying at the WL, probally in a lodge view. Is this view worth the extra cash? That will be the second resort... Still vote though! The second resort is what we are stuck on. It will ether be AKL, YC, or POFQ. You can get so fusterated deciding ! Anyways, thanks for the replies, and keep sending them in!

I voted YC. It is aour Favorite. Last trip we stayed a couple nights at AKL and then the last 5 at YC.
We were very glad we ended with YC since we just fell in love with it.
But I also have nothing but good things to say about AKL.
We only went to WL to look at the holiday decorations which were wonderful. Loved the lobby. I don't know if that resort is for me but my husband says he would like to stay there sometime. When we do i would like it to be around the holidays since it would be cozy with the huge fireplace etc....

I voted WL, I can go there over and over and never get tired of it or have a bad experience. For us, WL has the most magic.

We have just become Yacht Club converts. It was so very peaceful and convenient when we were there last week that we can't wait to go back. Our room overlooked the wedding gazebo, so the view did not include fireworks, but we had a nice sitting balcony. The room was very clean and new looking. If we were deciding, we'd go there last AND first!

Hmmm .... You say you will be at WDW for a Christmas trip. What are your dates? Given the ages of your kids, I would recommend an Epcot resort for Christmas week and a MK resort for NYE week.

I would start with the Wilderness Lodge and end with the Yacht Club. The WL is a very nice Magic Kingdom resort and the Yacht Club is my all-time favorite for about a jillion reasons.
