Hi gang! I just got back today and look at me, I'm already posting on DIS I had a fabulous time at WDW! Fortunately, our flight out was not canceled. It was just delayed and not by the hurricane ... by people who were late in getting to the airport and got stuck in customs Boy did I feel dumb for waking up at 4:30 AM to get to the airport at 6AM *lol* Next time I'll just show up an hour before.

Speaking of waking up early ... I totally forgot to do a final check of my luggage. Guess what I forgot? My spare camera battery and the charger. There goes my mind afterall Fortunately, I was able to order one from a camera store and have it shipped to AKL but it was not cheap!! Lesson learned for next time.

Our towncar on the way there (and the way back) was upgraded to a stretch limo It was totally unexpected! Maybe they heard it was my birthday too

The parks were pretty empty for the first week... plenty of walk-on rides and the first night we went to Epcot for Illuminations, we had our choice of spots. The second week (after Oct 5th), the crowds really picked up and our walk-ons turned into 40+ mins wait. Test Track was a 65 min wait on Wednesday and by 12PM the earliest FP was for 6PM.

Did a lot of new things for the first time ... Dolphins in Depth, MNSSHP, Water Mice, and the Poly. I think the Poly is now my favourite resort. The rooms are huge and there is just so much to do around the resort! Plus, it's hard to beat the monorails to MK and Epcot. I also watched Wishes from the beach several times

We also had a lot of great meals ... and one that was not very good, that unfortunately was on my birthday but I figure one meal out of 11 days wasn't too bad I'll post some reviews on the restaurant board tomorrow.

Did you enjoy WISHES from the beach? Was the music piped in? Was it almost as good as watching it from Main St.?
Glad you had a good trip. I was there at this time last year - just my mom and me. We had almost perfect weather!

Trying new things is what keeps me coming back to Disney World and what my friends just don't get about Disney, that there is just so many different activities to do down there.

Yeah, what is it about people showing up minutes before a flight. And then they get all upset if they don't get special treatment. You should check out Airline on A&E Monday nights, very funny!!!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! Since coming back, I've got another two birthday cakes They're really tasty but I think I've got to start running on the treadmill again otherwise it's all going to catch up to me again I'm working on my reviews in between going out and editing photos

Yes we did! There was no music from the Tahiti beach but you could hear bits and pieces of it. I think they play the Wishes music on the beach closest to the volcano pool but it's slightly more crowded there. It's not quite the same as watching it from Main St but it's nice just being able to go back to your room afterwards and not having to fight the crowds.

It was at Citricos ... maybe it was an off night but for the money we spent there, I don't think I'd be willing to give them a second chance. Maybe for coffee and dessert but not for dinner. Basically, the dinner started out nice enough -- it was quiet and we had a waiter. It sort of went downhill after we got our appetizers

I love Airline! It's awesome!! Some of those passengers really have a bad attitude ... I feel for the SW employees.

Not sure about the next trip ... I want to at least one more trip out of my APs. Maybe May ... maybe

Happy belated birthday, great way to celebrate it!!! How did you like MNSSHP? We loved MVMCP and of course keep thinking of MNSSHP.I'm sure it was great but would love to hear your feedback as a first timer. Thanks, Suzanne
