I do not frequent the community board much...I think I MAY have checked it out once. I am here tonight because one of my best friends passed away this evening. I am still in shock. She was 35 y/o and in good/great health. She had a hysterectomy 2 1/2 weeks ago, and apparently formed a blood clot (DVT), which traveled to her pulmonary vein (in the lungs), and it killed her. Me and DH spoke with her today on the phone. She did not sound well, and we told her to take it easy. I told her to call her doctor if she had any swelling of the extremities or shortness of breath, due to high risk of blood clot. I cannot believe that less than 10 hours later, that is exactly what she died of! Her DH is in total shock. He had to work today, and called her frequently to check on her. He said she told him she was very tired and that she was going to rest. He came home to find her "passed out"as he put it. The ER Dr. said she had died before he got home. They do not have children, and he is kind of a quiet guy, with very few friends. My DH has been his closest friend since 1st grade. He is going to stay with us tonight, he and my DH are out right now, trying to get through this as best as they can. Please include him in your prayers. I cannot imagine the hell he is going through right now. He needs all the prayers and pixie dust that we all can send. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest. All the people on these boards are so wonderful...it is reassuring to know you are all there!!
