Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the Disboards so please bear with me............

I am a Disney Bride To Be !! October 9th 2012

My finance David and I met 13 years ago 1999, last May he finally popped the question (well I say popped the question, was kind of like, do you really want to get married, and I was like 'YEAH') before we even went ring shopping, I was on the phone to DFTW gathering information on how to start planning a Disney Wedding then 5 months later we paid our deposit for our Wishes Wedding!!!

I have always wanted to get married in Disneyworld since I first visited in 1994, I have visited 6 times in total with my family, just love it !!

David had a fear of flying up until just over 2 years ago, I finally got him to fly and we had a short flight to Spain, then Egypt, Florida and St Lucia !!!

I have put a deposit on my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses and bought the suits.

We have picked and comfirmed our venues:-
Wedding Pavillion for the Ceremony
White Hall and Patio for Cocktail Hour and Reception
Epcot UK for Dessert Party

Thats about it so far.................

Regal Weddings - you have a planning session booked !!

I have emailed Alix, she is the assistant of Meri, asking to book a planning session by phone, I sent this email last Monday and still not heard anything :-(

We are unable to attend a Planning Session in person so finding it difficult to try and organise things by email and phone so far.

Aw, bummer! I'm sorry it hasn't been very quick for you. We have Christy for a planner and Alix as her assistant and both have been pretty quick to get back to us (although I called today and neither Christy nor Alix were there, so they must be very busy). Let me know if you have questions about anything, I'll try to help where I can!

Congrats on your engagement! My daughter just had her wedding in November of last year. She also had the wedding pavillion and the whitehall room and patio. Disney did a FANTASTIC job on her wedding!!!!!! She also had a wishes wedding. She had Mickey , Minnie and Major Domo too. She went with a Mickey Wave cake and had her flowers through the Disney florist. What a magical day they had. If you have anything you would like answered, just let me know
