Hi everyone! My name is Lia and I am new to the Podcast board for the most part. I have posted sparsely a couple of times, but I thought I would formally introduce myself because I have heard that this is the most fun board here on the DIS. I usually frequent the Trip Report boards the most. I have been listening to the podcast since August of 06 and I just have to say that it is a huge part of my week, and has been for over two years. I remember downloading the podcast in 06 and forgetting about it being on my iPod. It came on shuffle one day as I was walking to class in NYC (I live right outside of the city in NJ) and ever since then I listen to it almost every time I go to class. Some of my favorite episodes include:
~The one where Bob meant to bring Dole Whips in a cooler, but instead ate them and brought a cooler full of garbage.
~The anniversary episode where we got to hear the whole history of the DIS. Pete, you opening up about your struggle with depression was amazing. I think it was really brave of you to talk so openly about it. I really appreciate how much the entire podcast team shares with us fans.
~Pig Poop. Enough said.
~Corey and Julie on the sky coaster.
~Sad Little Crab Cake
Really I could go on and on. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoy the podcast. I wanted to come to Mousefest so badly but couldn't make it, and it's the same with the Podcast Cruise. I am still trying to figure out a way to make it but I just don't think I can. I know there will be other events, and I am so excited, as always, to get back to Disney World again. My last trip was October of this year, and my first time booking with Dreams Unlimited Travel. Theresa was my agent and I was pleased on every single aspect of it, it was seamless. That didn't surprise me. I really trust what you guys say on your podcast, as if you're friends of mine recommending something. If you guys say it's good, it's good, end of story. I will definitely be using Dreams from now on.
I know I am rambling on and on, but I just wanted to tell the entire team how extremely appreciative I am of all your hard work and dedication to what you do. It helps and entertains us all so much and we are so grateful for it. I was a little startled at how much the loss of Bob affected me, someone I don't even know and yet as I read about his passing, tears came instantly. Bob was an amazing man and it was devastating to see him go, I can't even imagine how you all, his close friends and family felt. Lastly, I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! to Corey and Julie on baby Ferris. What a great blessing for the new year!
Happy New Year everyone, I hope you're all having a magical day & I look forward to posting a lot in the future!
