Wanted to drop by and say hello to you all. Been a while since I've posted here... long enough to where I've had new e-mails, new provider, IE can't log on with old ID's. Not a problem though, as I've been keeping up as a (dreaded lurker) and loooooong time WDW freak.
Just a little background, first time to DW was in 68, via Greyhound bus from Atlanta with my great great aunt. Fast forward till 71 when my Dad and I tried to go and had a horrific accident on the tollway, (rolling the car 10 times) needless to say we didn't make it.
Move a couple of years forward, 73 & 74 with my family in a travel trailer at WC. (although that was the last time I've stayed on that property) Visited Hoop-De-Doo several times since however!
Next thing you know it's 77 and we're married, staying high up in the CO, perfect Castle View, absolutely PERFECT.
Couldn't believe at the time it was the most expensive room we had ever seen at a whopping $75.00 per night.
Since then we try to go every few years, staying at mid and upper end on-property resorts. Never tried the 'value' properties for some reason. (perhaps because I'm a HUGE believer in renting DVC points, which is for us the ONLY way to go.
With DVC points we've been at WL, BW (villas and Inn), BC (standard room, they were building the villas).
As for the mid-range properties, honestly I can't remember them all, some were when there was a "Dixie" in the title, then the whole Port/new/whatever/Landings blah it turned into.
All in all we've been at at least a dozen properties, and loved every minute of it.
Last long stay was in 2000 & 2001 staying for 15 days each time. Since then (after health took me down in late 2002) we try to drop down for a couple of days every 2~3 years, last time being at the S&D for a quickie weekend.
All this being said, we LOVE to stay on property ANNNNNNDDDD with my 35th anniversary coming in the fall its time to plan for the BIG ONE! Like the first time weve been able to go without the kids, YEEEESSSSSS!

So if ya'll don't mind, I'm gonna' hang around for a while, and plan, yes p-l-a-n this puppy. (Me likes planning, gives me something to do, and might actually save some money along the way.) Thanks in advance to all that we'll say and do along the way.
