:wave2: Welcome to the DIS.....I have stayed at the ASMo and really enjoyed it, great for the money, but if I had the choice, I would stay at POP Century. No matter what you will have a great time.

Welcome to Dis!! You will love these boards. Most of us are addicted to them. Here is a link that can show you menus at ASMo and pics.

Don't show your family though let them be surprised. Oh and ASMo is great I would request the Toy Story buildings and they are close to lobby and food court without costing more.

good luck and have a great vacation

Welcome to the Dis! You will find out some great info here that will be really beneficial to your trip!

I loved the AllStar movies. The only thing I would have preferred was a closer room. I was in the love bug section, which has great easy access to the parking lot (the family we were traveling with rented a car). But it was a bit of a walk from the food court. We bought the refillable mug and rarely used it b/c we didn't want to carry it with us the entire day at the parks, and were too lazy or to excited to have to run all the way back to the room.

Great bus service too, never waited more than 5-10 minutes for a bus.

Have a great vacation!

I haven't stayed at Movies, but I have stayed at Sports and Music several times each (the three All-Stars are all very similar).

The All-Star resorts are generally as immaculate as the rest of the Disney resorts, but occasional problems occur at any hotel. When you first get to your room, give it a quick once-over to make sure you have clean sheets, fresh towels, and a clean shower, and the TV and phone work.

The All-Star food courts are excellent counter-service fare. I am particularly fond of the Adult Breakfast Platter and the Chicken Quesadilla. Stay away from the grits, they are AWFUL!

If you get a room in the Mighty Ducks section, it is quicker to walk to the All-Star Music food court than it is to walk to the Movies food court.

If you have a car, request a room close to one of the parking lots, and drive your way out to the food court when you want to go. Save some walking.

HI everyone i am new to this forum.. just wanted to say hi!...

DisneyGirl928, welcome to the Dis! I hope you like it here. It's a great community to be a part of (I've been a member of the Dis for a couple of years now).

Make sure to check out the All Star Movies Super Duper FAQ/Answer Thread -- click here. You'll find lots of good info in there. Also, make sure to check out Disney's video clip of the All-Star resorts -- click here.

I have only stayed at the Sports, not at the Movies or Music yet (but they're on my list -- I have stayed in 18 of Disney's resorts so far). I really enjoyed my stay there in October. The food court had some very good food, in my humble opinion.

Have a wonderful stay at the All-Star Movies Resort.

Welcome! I am new too!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

ASmovies looks like a great choice. AllEarsNet has menu choices and I think it has food court pictures!

Have fun!!!

Hi DisneyGirl928! Welcome to the boards. I am staying at the Pop Century May 8th-16th so we might see each other! I hope you have a great time! :Pinkbounc

Hiya DisneyGirl;

My kids and I will be staying at the AllStar Movie the same days as you bet we'll meet in line. Have'nt been in years, and frankly to me doesn't matter if the food is awful and the place is noisey, I'll be away from work, away from stress, and living in the magic only Disney can make. We wanted to stay on the property and couldn't afford much more, so here we are. Let's pray for great weather, although pretty much anything beats Chicago in April. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Just stayed there in January. Value was never a first choice for us, but it met our needs for marathon weekend. We were very surprised that we really liked the hotel, our room was newly renovated (Mighty Ducks), mousekeeping was awesome, food court had a great selection of freshly made food with great CM service (other than a park day we ate there for all our meals), pool was fine (even without a slide)(but with a great kiddie area) and thought the life guards were more attentive than those at the AKL. We will absolutely go back again and I wasn't sure I would have thought that :flower:

We thought the ASMo was well laid out in a tight footprint and no room was more than a few minutes walk to the main area. The great part about Mighty Ducks (besides the new renovation) was only a couple minutes to main area yet no preferred rate, has it's own big quiet pool with laundry right there, and as other said close proximity to ASMu food/bus - although we didn't go that way.

Meal idea (but then for marathon weekend we were consuming pastas) - we each got the kids spagetti meal and added a large salad to share and side of bread - great deal for a good and filling meal !

Have a great time !
