hope you dont mind anyway, ive been lurking for quite a while now and your posts are fab and make for great reading,

we went to dlp for the very first time last mid july and had a wonderful time, and so did the kids well they where quite young at the time (4 & 1). So because we had such a great time last year we have booked ourselfs another trip to dlp but for october this time. We found july very very hot well over 40degrees, so we though october would be better. We are flying direct from edin to cdg staying in the santa fe 21st to 25th, but we where wondering if anyone could tell us what it will be like weather wise and what events will be going on at the time that would be great,

:thumbsup2

Hi **TINKS** and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

Halloween is a great time to be visiting DLP :goodvibes

:wave2: and :welcome: . You have picked a great time to go. In October the park is transformed into a Halloween wonderland. It is one of my favourite seasons at DLP :thumbsup2

As far as the weather is concerned it will be quite like here. We took layers with us and were warm enough. As long as you take decent waterproofs with you in case of rain you will be fine :thumbsup2

If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask

thanks for the welcome , wish id found this place last year before we went, ive learnt so much about what we actually missed on our first visit, its like an addiction dlp isnt it lol ...

will remember layers for october but i suppose anywhere will be warmer than scotland !!!, also will it be busy or quite, the july holiday was absolutley packed and we swore we would never do that again far too hot for the kids, so sounds like october will suit us just right,

lol our eldest cant wait he wants to go now bit like us :rotfl: but good things come to those who wait i suppose,

thanks again for the welcome ... :)

Hi and welcome!:goodvibes
I went on 2 trips last year, one in July which I agree was really too hot and then I went for the first time in November during Halloween season and loved it! It was so much better for queuing and walking than in July! And the Halloween theming is great!:thumbsup2

Hello and welcome to the DIS!! :cheer2:

The new Toon Studios will be open when you go, with the new Crush's Coaster and Car's Race Rally rides :thumbsup2 And every night of the 15th Anniversary year (which starts tomorrow :goodvibes ) they will be lighting up the Castle with Candleabration :cloud9:

ive learnt so much about what we actually missed on our first visit

It was the same for us TINKS. Its a lovely site to visit with the friendliest bunch of people I have come across. Ask any question and you get a fair cross section of answers.

BTW, :welcome: from me too. :goodvibes

In regards to weather, I have been in October when it is raining & I have been when it has been shirt sleeve weather even at the end of October.

I have also been in August and it was really hot but the queues weren't to bad.

Halloween time is a great celebration out there, especially this year with all the 15th anniversary celebrations going on.

Welcome to our humble lil community, enjoy your stay!
:yay::woohoo: :yay:

Hi Tinks! Welcome! Glad you came out of lurkdom to join in the fun! :)

Hi and welcome, a Halloween trip, I loved Halloween it was so much fun - you'll have a superb time.

Hi Tinks, welcome to the wonderful world of DIS!!! Ask any questions on here, even daft ones like me, and you will get some really good advice from the members!!
Our first visit was during Bonfire night 2005. The weather was just the same as my beloved Manchester, wet and breezy. Somehow being in Disney made up for the weather. Pack plenty of layers, you can always leave a few in the hotel if the weather is fine!!!
Enjoy you stay in October!!!!!
P.S. If you like the idea of your kiddies receiving a postcard from DLP before your visit, check the "postcard thread" on this board. It just adds a little more magic to life.
