Well I'm back & hoping you lovely people could help with some advice on indirect flights please.
Currently looking at flights for Easter flying from Manchester on the 1st April!
Any help would be gratefully received, Thank you x

Hi Wayne, looking at 1st to the 16th will be 6 adults as my girls will be 14 & 12 and my parents will be coming too!
Have found pretty decent prices on Kayak, with Lastminute.com, but would welcome any advice as we've never done Indirect before, but for the price seems silly to ignore

What price you got? I will have a look around for cheaper.

Current price is £2344.32 thanks Wayne

Had a quick look around, I would snap them up, you rarely get under £400pp anymore.
Only downside is the Delta plane on the Manchester~ATL route hasn't got seatback TV's yet, every year we hope they upgrade to a newer plane but still they haven't, just maybe they will for next year.

If you book those via ATL on the 1st we will be on the same flight, we will then race thru immigration to get on the Miami flight, I think we have a 1 hr 40min connection.
We will then be coming back on the 15th doing Tampa~ATL~MAN

They'd be in my basket by now while I ran for the credit card :lmao: Well done you! Especially for Easter - but those are brilliant prices even for off season! Who are you flying with?

Just another thought, have you looked at going via Quidco to get cashback?

I tried with our flights but the cost increased thru Quidco(or direct with LM.com) far lower going via Kayak for some reason.

They are just after the Easter school dates. Like ours if we fly out 30th or 31st Mar (Easter Sat/Sun) the cost rockets, fly out on the Monday and return after the weekend 2 weeks later and the cost plummets.
Flights are with Delta, for some reason they are coming up really cheap on LM.com, they are available on other sites but not all times, I wanted specific times, getting into Miami at 6pm, LM.com were £477, Expedia I could get similar price but only on the 9pm arrival. Even direct with Delta were nowhere near the price.
I think there is a slight glitch on LM.com going via Kayak, it shows the more expensive times at cheaper rates, when I went direct it didn't show them at the lower rate.

Hope you followed that, not easy to explain.

Thank you! On Quidco the price jumps to £2782.32, have to say have never done Quidco though.
My 2 break up on the 28th so would mean having to miss 3 days off school, but they always have an excellent attendance at school & looking on their year planners that they've bought home today, they won't be missing anything special that week!!
Hmmm now shall I book???, silly I know what my reply would be if anyone were to ask me that question, Hubby has just flung his credit card over to me!!

Yes, book! I had a similar dilemma when I booked our upcoming trip and just decided to go for it. An hour later the prices were updated and coming up a few hundred ££ more

Yes, thanks Wayne - I got the gist of it. It's one of the reasons to ensure you check all avenues before deciding as not everything is always what it appears in all places :)

If you have the credit card then book (I used Debit, too tight to pay the £15 cc fee they wanted :rotfl2:) you will regret it if you don't.
I booked Saturday evening, the next day they had gone up. Just checked again now, gone up from £477 to £581. £312 more for 3 of us

I love seeing flights I've already booked increasing in price :lmao:

they've been upgrading their planes across the board - so more than likely, they'll eventually get to the manchester planes as well..

strangely, when i was pricing yesterday, kayak came out higher than when i just went straight onto the delta site and searched.
Isn't that the weirdest thing ever????
lufthansa actually comes out cheaper, but i'm flying with my mom and she needs the FF points to maintain her platinum status, so it's going to be delta for this trip for me...(after all my complaining about delta - i guess i'll just get to add some new stories)...

Ahh Wayne, don't worry about snoring, as my Dh & Dad will probably be doing the same! :rolleyes1
