Hi - after a long period away from the boards

Haven't been on the boards since coming back from WDW at Xmas. Good to see/recognise most of the regular posters are still around.

Is this the 'home' of UKDIS now, I remember I used to post on the UK site, this site was relatively quiet on the UK side?

We're planning to go again in Sept 2003, just waiting the the day counter to come around so we can book our flights. Definately going for a villa this time around, doing the whole trip DIY. MIL and FIL will be coming with us again, only for 2 weeks out of the 3 we are planning though.

The original UK DIS site had a bit of a mis-hap and all the post date was lost
So we had to come back and slum it with our American buddies

If you want to book flights earlier you could book a flydrive package. I have booked a fly-drive for next August (I would have to have waited until Sep. to book a flight only.)

DW has been on the phone to look into booking "flight only" for next August.

I don't know all of the details, but I think it was possible now.

That's strange, every website I have tried for flights next August have come back with a message saying can't book flights more than 336 or 340 days in advance

Perhaps by ringing you can do like an advanced booking or something?

The website said NO - but the people on the end of the phone said YES!

We're looking for flights from Edinburgh, the best I've come up with so far is EDI-LGW-MCO with Virgin for an undisclosed sum (around £1400 for 2 adults and a child looking at this year's prices), and EDI-Iceland-MCO with IcelandAir with a 4 hour stop in Iceland on the way out for a trip to the Blue Lagoon for about £1100.

Still looking at other options but I'd prefer Virgin, I'll check up on the Fly-Drive, Virgin's site was a little slow the other day so I gave up.

Welcome back Graham Yes, the UK DIS is here now ( whilst we had the separate site, the boards here were quiet as we were all there....... if you see what I mean LOL! But the UK DIS was originally here and consisted of one board)
