Universal have just posted all the details of HHN 15 on their media website, which provides a lot more info on this year's program (which sounds suitably gory). It will ONLY be in IoA, with a lot of new elements. The details are as follows:

"Celebrating fifteen years of horror, Universal Orlando will reach an entirely new level of fright as it unveils one of the most intense Halloween Horror Nights events in its history.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando, one of the country’s largest and most elaborate Halloween celebrations, will be held at Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park for nineteen nights. The event kicks off Sept. 30 and continues through October 1, October 7-9, October 12-16, October 20-23, and October 27-31, beginning at 6:30 p.m. each evening.

Guests will be transported to a twisted netherworld where chilling rituals will startle even the bravest visitors. Grotesque beasts will trek through foggy streets searching for unsuspecting travelers whose blood will nourish the macabre inhabitants. And the High Priestess, the half-woman, half-beast ruler of the society, presides on her throne where she delights as her minions pay homage to her during the terrifying bloodletting ceremonies.

And this year, using special content and the atmosphere of Islands of Adventure theme park, the event’s “scream team” of designers will create a first-of-its-kind twist to the event—total immersion. From the moment guests enter the theme park, they will feel what it’s like to be a member of this bizarre underworld civilization. From body collecting to bloodletting, visitors will see the frightening practices used in each haunted house. And these house themes, combined, will tell one terrifying story of this strange netherworld society.

“We’ve taken everything we’ve learned over the past fifteen years to create an event that will bring guests to a new level of terror,” said Bob Gault, president and chief executive officer of Universal Orlando. “The physical layout of Islands of Adventure theme park is an ideal backdrop to tell the story of this unnerving civilization. It will prove to be one of the most intense Halloween Horror Nights events in our history.”

Halloween Horror Nights 15 will feature seven all-new haunted houses, new shows, including a new version of the popular “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” stage show, scare zones with no boundaries, and hundreds of new stalking characters created for their particular island and for the event.

The all-new haunted houses will draw on some of the most disturbing themes of the underworld society and visitors will be faced with their darkest fears in this ultimate test of survival. The haunted houses include: Body Collectors: Blood and gore is the business of the day in this industrial factory where processing human body parts is just part of the job; Demon Cantina: where the dead are living it up in this biker bar from hell, but there is always room for “live-ly” new patrons; The Skool: the children of the night celebrate Halloween in their own bizarre manner where guests turn out to be the “treats” for their celebration; Where Evil Hides: visitors try to escape their worst nightmares as they fumble through dark hallways, passages, and doors that may never open; Cold Blind Terror: where bone-chilling cold and blind terror numb the senses so visitors cannot see, hear, or escape; Blood Ruins: a plagued medieval village where torture is a way of life as the twisted creatures search for a never-ending source of blood.

For the first time ever, the event designers will create a horrific haunted house, Terror Mines, which focuses on the group experience rather than the individual’s. This seventh haunted house forces a party of guests to work together to uncover an escape route or perish. Wearing a lighted helmet, the leader must navigate his or her group through the black, winding mazes avoiding subterranean beasts that live to battle interlopers. Visitors’ destinies are not their own as they must place their faith in their leader, who is randomly selected.

Halloween Horror Nights is a special ticket event and is $59.75 plus tax for day-of event. Florida residents can purchase tickets in advance for $52.75 plus tax. For more information or to purchase tickets, guests may visit the website at www.halloweenhorronights.com, at the front gate of the theme parks, and at Florida Spencer’s Gift locations. Because of the event’s popularity, tickets for weekend nights are expected to sell out and should be purchased far in advance.

Gory Getaway travel packages, which include hotel accommodations at an Orlando area hotel, early admission to Halloween Horror Nights begin at $89 per adult per night based on double occupancy and are available by purchasing online at www.halloweenhorrornights.com or by calling 1-877-284-GORY."

yes, i am addicted to hhn.
going the second weekend this year.

made the ressie for hrh back in late march.
hotel has been sold out since july now for the dates i am going.

i use a few other websites for the info on hhn.

Terror Mines sounds fun. It seems to be an attempt to split up the crowds so people can't see the scare up ahead.
Usually what happens is, everyone walks in a line, and you can see the scare up ahead before it happens. Even when they stagger people at the door, it doesn't work, because the people eventually catch up to those in front of them. So instead of a single file line, make it wide enough so an entire group of people can walk thru.

Pulsing is the ideal way to operate and go through a haunted house. Even the lamest house (most people hated Disorientorium) can become a spectacular experience if you get to go through with a small group, or even alone. And despite HHN being a popular and crowded event, I have been able to go through a few of the houses basically alone thanks to Stay & Scream and being somewhat familiar with the flow of crowds and layout of the park.

It'll be interesting to see if the plan in place for Terror Mines stays in place for the whole event. Honestly, this sounds like it may develop very lnog lines very quickly, and it might be good to try to hit this one first. Of course, with my luck I'll be stuck with the light everytime I go through the house, lol.

the hhn workers over at chainsawwolf. com have been talking about the houses and their roles. well, as much as they can give out that is.

no talk at all on bill and teds.........some type of secret.

i just read on their site about the scare zone and it will be different this year

did you notice the icon that you first see on the book, the one that fills up with red blood is repeated in parts of that icon in the houses on the map?

it will all link together.
