We will be at Universal Oct 24-27. My husband was thinking of going to HHN be himself on Sunday Oct. 25 while I stay with our 3 kids who are to young to go. We will be staying at Hard Rock Hotel. I was thinking of getting him the express pass. I know I wouldn't want to stand in long lines by myself. I then saw something about RIP tour. I was hoping someone could tell me about the tour and if you were by yourself which would you rather do. I assume with the tour he would be with a group of people so he might not feel so alone and might be a little funner. He doesn't mind doing it by himself. I was also wondering if someone had more insight into the two different ones. There is only 40 difference between the two. I just want him to get to see everything he can.

Do the tour. More people, more fun, no waiting in line with tour.

He will see everything with the tour plus more. Also I believe after the tour ends your tour lanyard gets you in express after anyways.

after the tour ends, you are only allowed to do the rides with express, once each time
can't use it for the houses.

Do the tour! The RIP is fun and it's great to get to know the people touring with you. We had a great group which made it even more fun.

With the RIP tour there is no waiting for any house or Bill and Teds show, well worth every penny! Then use your RIP pass to hit the rides after the tour.

I knew some homies would rescue me with the express after the tour.

Only 1 night of HHN and solo to boot? No question I'd get the RIP tour. Less waiting in lines and you get to travel with a group. If the RIP was sold out, I would get the Express Pass and still have a great time.

Thanks for advice. I think I understand more of the difference between the two. I think with the tour he will for sure get to experience everything in the fast time. I think he would enjoy going with a group of people, he doesn't mind talking to people he doesn't know. Sounds like I should book it very soon.

book one of the later tours as the parks will have more lines then.
check the website for tour set up hours.

once lines are long for the houses in the parks, being in a public tour is a life saver.
limited waits to do the houses with the tour guide then.

+1

I would think it would depend on your husband. Does he like to wander around by himself or does he want to be lead around by an expert?

tour is the best way and a time saver of waits in lines.
tours use short cuts to reach the houses and you can avoid lots of crowds in the park.

the tg will also give some back ground info to the group before entering the houses.

if you go on your own with express, you can do the houses but for a newbie, best to go with the public tour.
