Hello Everyone,

I'm a long time reader of the forum but this will be my first post, sorry if this is a silly question. We're planning to stay at really any Universal resort from Sept. 18th-23, it looks like everything is booked up though. Our goal was Aventura, but at this point we would take anything outside of the more pricey resorts (Portofino & Hard Rock). Is it possible an opening may arise in between now and our planned trip? I know this may not be a question someone can answer just wanted to see if this is normal for the time of year.

That is insane. I have never seen that. If you do Sunday to Thursday you have some options, CB, PB and SF. Could you stay on-site for those days and then get an offsite booking for the Thursday night? We are doing that because I couldn’t get the AP rate for the Friday night of our week. I am also hoping that the Friday will become available as we get closer.

you could also do a split stay. There are also rooms available on that Thursday but probably not the same hotel all the way through.

Play around with date combos ie Sun-Tues then Tue- Fri etc and see what you get.
May have to do split stay

I would play around and get a split stay just to have something. Then check back every day, a few times a day. Don’t cancel your first reservations until you have made the one you want. You can have more than one reservation, for the same days, at a time.

If you are able to score the same hotel and room category even with split reservations, they will probably be able to combine them when you check in.

Thank you for the heads up, and everyone for all of your help! We opted to go a different route and we're going to stay at Sapphire Falls while moving the trip back one day. Really looking forward to it, our last trip walking through Sapphire Falls was beautiful. Once again I appreciate everyone taking the time to respond!
