We're heading to Universal for our first HHN. Been many times during Spring Break and Christmas, but our first HHN. The plan is to arrive Oct 17, Golf on Oct 18 &19, IOA/US on Oct 20 (Thursday) with HHN, Disney park on Oct 21 and IOA/US again on Oct 22. I plan to purchase RIP Tour tickets for the 20th. Can't pull off Stay and Scream as I have to go back to HRH to give our dog an insulin shot around 5:00. So, what can we expect as far as crowd issues on Thursday night with RIP Tour tickets and entering when US opens for HHN. I know we will be guaranteed entry to all houses and shows, but any other info as I am starting to see a little about "Hell Week". Any other suggestions or ideas? Thanks...

I'm not sure what time the RIP tour will start but since you can't do S & S, you'll definitely be getting inside later than you'd like. The gates open anywhere from 6:30 to 7pm depending on the crowd size and you'll have to make a beeline for the RIP gathering place. If the outside line to get in is huge, you could be there for a while. I guess I would suggest finding out what time the tour starts and go from there.
