Hi fellow Redheads :)

I'm sure you're all excited as I am about HHN XX only being 6 months away :thumbsup2

In your experience, which night would be quieter out of a Friday or a Sunday?

If it helps I'm thinking the first weekend in October.

Cheers all!

Go on a Sunday...I can meet you guys that night. :thumbsup2

I guarantee if you go on a Sunday the first two weeks of October you'll get relatively short lines from 6:30 pm to 8pm and then again after 10pm.From 8pm to 10pm they'll be bigger, but less than what you'll find Friday and Saturday.I think most of my visits to HHN have been on Sundays and if you stay in the Stay and Scream area and hit the houses that are open early you can do all the shows and houses, eat something and still have time to redo one or two of your favorite houses even with a midnight closing time.

Sunday for sure !!

looks like i will miss you again this year.
i'll be there during the columbus day weekend again.

Columbus day is monday oct 11.

i'll be there from the 5th thru the 12th on site.
doing hhn on thursday thru sunday again this year.

How much busier is Saturday than Friday?

Saturday is a lot more packed than Friday for sure!!

the last 11 years i have gone every night they have it on that 4 day span.

last year was the first time i skipped going to hhn on a saturday.

the years prior had too many crowds for me.
i always had the express pass for the event but lines were still long.
in some places, walking was tough trying to get thru crowds.

maybe one reason saturday is packed more than fridays is due to the weekend. people are off work and most don't work the next day.

I'm going on Sept 30 and Oct 3. Oct 1 is a MNSSHP night, so I wanted to do that and do HHN again on Saturday night, the 2nd. I guess I could just come back the Thursday after, but I'll be staying at Disney then.

Me and UW (universal wife) have never been to HHN before and will be there Oct 2 and 3rd. The only Halloween evert we have ever been to was last years Kings Island event. As far as Halloween events go how does Universal rank. Also Any tips?

It's widely known that Universal has the premier Halloween theme park event in the nation.Hauntworld.com has the top 10 theme park events in the nation.

1. Universal Studios Horror Nights, Orlando, FL
2. Knott’s Scary Farm, Los Angeles, CA
3. Tampa Busch Gardens,Howl-O-Scream Tampa, FL
4. Universal Studios Horror Nights, Hollywood, CA
5. Kennywood Amusement Park, “Phantom Fright Nights", Pittsburgh, PA
6. Busch Gardens,Howl-O-Scream, Williamsburg, Va
7. King's Island Haunt, Cincinnati, OH
8. Cedar Point Haunt, Sandusky, OH
9. Six Flags Fright Fest, NJ
10. Old Tucson Studios Nightfall, Tucson, AZ

To put it in perspective the year before last I went to both USF and Knotts Halloween nights. Universal was that much better it was amazing.

The best of Knotts was around or below the worst of USF imo.

WE are going first weekend of October and I can't wait.

Any idea on what the theme/houses will be this year?

This years Horror Nights celebrates its 20th anniversary so it should be a pretty good year, here are some rumors of what HHN XX will have:

Possibility of 10 houses this year

The event might have a throwback theme bringing back the greatest houses, scare zones and shows from the previous 19 years,I'm hearing some houses might have several throwback houses in one.

Festival of the Dead parade might return

Rocky Horror will likely go away

The Bill and Ted's show might go in the T2 3D theater, smaller than the other theaters they've used before but they will have more shows per night and have the ability to have a pre show inside the queue versus just having the people wait outside with nothing to do.This sounds like a great idea.

These are the rumors I've heard but it's still early and things can change

Thanks. Might sound strange but I sort of hope they only have 8. I can imagine if they have 10 they will let more people in as well.

We only have 1 night, and on past experience can get the 8 done in that time.

we cant wait we will be there oct 1-4 coming down just for HHN 20 and we will be going friday saturday and sunday - going to take it slow this year in the past we have tried to get all the houses in on one night. 17 was the worst when we went the sunday before columbus day and only managed to do 3 houses 18 we did them all on saturday and then went back sunday to do them again, even though we werent too impressed with the houses that year

I was leaning towards the Sunday anyway, but Todd, if you're definitely going that Sunday then the decision is made.

Do I feel a DIS meet coming on?!

Roll on October!

I hope they do bring back some of the classic houses that I missed but I've heard so much about.

What houses would you guys most like to see return?

Lets see if I finally get to go to one of the DIS meets - I always miss it :(

This is going to be my first year that i'm actually going to be able to take a vacation later in the year and FINALLY get to visit HHNs!! I'm pretty excited but still trying to plan what day to go. Will likely only have time to go one night, and would like to try to pick a night where we stand the best chance to see as much as possible. Is it likely they'll be open on Thurs. Sept. 30th (and hopefully slow with it being a Thursday)? Would the hours be the same as a weekend, or cut short? I could go any night Sept. 24-26th and/or the 30th-2rd, and would appreciate any suggestions any of the veterans could give! Thanks :goodvibes
