We are taking our 8 yo DD on a trip to Universal for her birthday- she's a huge HP fan. We are going Nov. 1-4. One of the nights we will be at the park is a HHN. My question is... During the day or even close to closing at the parks, will there be anything from HHN out that might frighten her (or me!)? How about at Citywalk in the evening? TIA!

The studios close at 5

Ioa would be open the evening you would be there and no hhn decorations would be seen At that park

City walk will be fine also

You will be fine. My DD is super sensitive to anything creepy but had no issues being there during HHN season. They keep the scary stuff away from regular guests.

If this is your first trip and your child is sensitive, be aware that there are a number of creepy elements in many of Universal's rides. It actually surprised me how many (then again I have a kid who absolutely hated the sight of dementors, keeps her eyes firmly shut on The Mummy, will not ride Haunted Mansion and just tolerates Pirates of the Caribbean, etc) so we're talking hyper - sensitive.

Thanks for the heads up! My DD can be sensitive, but is totally fine with HP stuff like dementors, Voldemort, etc... I think its because she read the books first so she knew what to expect with the movies and just loves all things HP. We will be steering clear of Mummy and Kong though!
