According to ads in the Sentinel, for the first time ever you can wear a costume to HHN this Monday evening (Halloween night). They'll have a costume contest with a $5000 prize.
Does anyone think this a good idea? I thought the point of the ban was to keep a clear divide between scareactors and guests--I see the potential for a lot of misunderstandings.
Also, does this mean they expected a low turn-out for Halloween night? This is a last-minute about-face agfter 15 years of precedent. Also, I just received a mailer re: a contest in December for AP holders--every time you enter one of the parks, you get a chance at a trip to see the premiere of King Kong or $5000. I would think Grinchmas would goose up the numbers, but maybe not.
