According to ads in the Sentinel, for the first time ever you can wear a costume to HHN this Monday evening (Halloween night). They'll have a costume contest with a $5000 prize.

Does anyone think this a good idea? I thought the point of the ban was to keep a clear divide between scareactors and guests--I see the potential for a lot of misunderstandings.

Also, does this mean they expected a low turn-out for Halloween night? This is a last-minute about-face agfter 15 years of precedent. Also, I just received a mailer re: a contest in December for AP holders--every time you enter one of the parks, you get a chance at a trip to see the premiere of King Kong or $5000. I would think Grinchmas would goose up the numbers, but maybe not.

We heard about that too. There are so many restrictions that the most you can be is pratically a pumpkin... :rotfl: I'ts going to cause so many problems with people trying to be like scaractors. I dont think the idea is a good one at all.

The costume contest at HRH 10/27 was pretty wild. The prizes were big and the women's costumes were small!

Lol motherfletcher. We were there to and saw this chubby girl dressed up in this tiny and when i say tiny, i mean t i n y, basketball uniform with a hat that said player. EW. I was disgusted.
