HHN 2014......What Are Your Dates

I think you will be able to cover it all.
Be sure you get the park map so you know the show times.
Line up for the shows 20 minutes before the show starts if the park is crowded.

If I had to skip a house it probably would be dusk to dawn, it was fine when I did it once but after doing it for. 4 different nights with a few nights of twice a night, it lost the effect for me.
Sets were good but I probably hit that house when it was off.

Bill and teds first nightly showing is valid for express.
Utilize the stay and scream and hit houses early.

If the pattern holds, AVP will be open early.
Dracula also if you do SNS at finnegans.

Walking dead had a 45 minute wait at 6:30. That house opens at 6:30 and many go there first when released from SNS instead of doing the two early opened houses.
Your choice.
I preferred WD house after it was dark as the strob lights in that house had a better effect when it was dark that night.

Halloween and dollhouse had long waits also on the nights I was there.
Think Halloween had longer waits early than dollhouse.

The way it is set up, do Roanoke first as it empties back to dollhouse entry.

Use your express when lines start to have over 30 minute waits to get them all in besides the two shows.

******UPDATE FOR HOUSE OPENING TIMES******
As of last weekend, they have adjusted the opening times for TWD and Halloween with both "officially" opening at 6pm. Ops Team Members at Halloween have reported that they're actually opening when S&S is released. Of these two houses, Halloween is the better one to do early because, as Macraven said, the strobe effects in the finale of TWD don't work as well if it isn't dark out.

Also, Dracula is one of the last houses to open with their official opening time still noted as 6:30 so if you use Finn's as your S&S holding area, I suggest heading to TWD after AVP as you'll be able to get through it fairly quickly without using your EP and can then revisit it later in the night (when it is dark) with your EP.

Pammy, I don't doubt you but on Friday night, Halloween didn't open early as security didn't get that back area cleared that early.
We weren't allowed back there until 6:20
Sunday WD didn't let us in until right at 6:30.
We walked to it when released from SNS and were told come back around 6:30

I'll be at HHN on October 12th (solo) + express pass October 16th (my birthday), I'll be doing both morning and afternoon Unmasking the Horror tours.

See you at the tour tomorrow! :D

Hmmm, that is really interesting because my friend who works as a scareactor in TWD was the one who provided the information and on either Friday or Sunday (I thought it was Sunday but the days are starting to run together at this point) I went through TWD before 6:30. I didn't arrive in time for S&S today, but when I got there at 6:30, my friends had already gotten their accommodations access pass signed with a return time of 6:30 and there were already people from both the express and regular queues cycling through the house.

And after we found out about TWD we asked an OPs TM about Halloween and was told that the house was opening almost immediately after S&S was released. Perhaps, you have to be in one of the back of the park S&S holding areas to get the earliest access?

I'll be doing S&S tomorrow and we're planning to hit Halloween first thing so I'll report back on Friday.

I wasn't there on Saturday so it probably was like you said as that night has the crowds.
Went this evening and they released SNS at 5:50

WD was open at time we were released from SNS
Only Dracula opened at 6:30.

WD was at a 60 minute wait at one point, think it was around 7:00, but then dropped to a 45 minute wait way before 8:00 tonight.
I did that house with the early birds then did a repeat about 7:35ish with express.
The house is much better when it's dark.

I didn't find it crowded tonight.
Line waits were if you had express.
Only issue was at Halloweensystem was down so they couldn't scan the FF w/ ep when I went thru.
They looked at the pass and said continue.
Those with the single day ep, the TM marked it by hand with a marker so it couldn't be reused tonight.

Was back again Thursday and Friday doing S&S.

On Thursday we did S&S at Duff Gardens which was an interesting change of pace. Can't remember the exact time we were released but we had to wait a few minutes to pay our bar tab before heading over to Halloween which required only a few minutes of waiting before we were inside, trying to escape from Michael.

Immediatelly following Halloween, we headed to Roanoke which was listed as a 5 minute wait, essentially the amount of time it takes to walk through the queue to the entrance of the house. Next up was Dollhouse which also had almost no wait and then we did a 2nd run through Halloween since we really enjoy that house. A check of the clock on the mobile device put the time at 6:36 when we exited the house.

After this we went to Giggles which essentially had no wait. We decided to make our way to my favorite SZ, MASKerade Unstitched, but when we got to Dracula there was again almost no wait, so we went through for the first time in a few weeks and surprisingly had a really good run through the house.

By now, TWD had a pretty busy queue so my friend headed to Monsters for food while I spent some time enjoying the MASKerade.

Bearing in mind that I'm neither a small person, nor a very fit person, we were able to do 5 house runs by 7:30pm. For those who only have one night, if you can do S&S, this plan/path should work well to get you through the majority of the houses before things get crazy busy, especially if you're able to move more quickly and effeciently than me. TWD will always be challenging because even at 6pm, there was a huge mass of people from the Lucy S&S holding area queued up for the house. But if you can get through just about everythign else quickly, it won't be as horrible having to survive a long queue for TWD.
