HHN - 10/31 vs 11/1?

DH and I are making a short trip for HHN this year, and debating if we should attend the night of Thursday 10/31 or Friday 11/1. Would anyone expect a noticeable difference in crowds between the two nights?

I'd expect 10/31 to be busy being Halloween, but thought perhaps some of the crowds (locals) may stay home to hand out candy, trick or treat, etc. And also because its a Thursday, work night.

Thought maybe 11/1 would be better, being after Halloween, but perhaps crowds would come in this night instead being a Friday.

Which would you choose?

Typically, I would say Halloween night would be crazier, but I have to vote for 10/31 too, because of the reasons you stated, families having to do trick or treating with the kids and it being a work/school night. It obviously won't stop everyone, but it will stop some. I would imagine it would definitely be busier than most Thursdays, but Friday I would imagine a lot of people would be more than willing to wait a day and go all out on Friday instead.

As mac says crowds should be lower......I`d go on the 31st too.

It was one of the quieter nights when we did that time previously.

So I can't help with respect to Fri, 1st, but if this helps, I attended last year on the 31st - it was busier than I thought it would be - I was kind of surprised. A lot busier than the night before. For context, wait times without express averaged 90 min-2 hrs at popular houses. Wait times with express ran about 20-30 min.

Ironically, Halloween is usually the less crowded day during HHN. I have spent many a Halloween at HHN and found crowds to be more reasonable than other nights.
