I don't have enough points, but as I was looking for one night in March in a 1BR at HHI and I happened to scan ahead and I was stunned to see that ALL of May (except May 2), June, July (except 3-4) and August is available in 1BR. I understand that we are still in the home resort booking window, but isn't this when owners are generally travelling to HHI?? And with only (21) 1BR's available, it really surprises me that there is 100% availability for the entire summer. Only 3 days over 4 months that have no availability in a 1BR???

I am starting to notice that DHHIR is staying busier year round since covid.

We travel during all seasons to DHHIR and cast members at the front desk have said the same thing.

Summer is still high time for DHHIR though.

Regarding availability of 1 Bedrooms, the front desk explained to me one day that at Hilton Head, the demand for 2 Bedrooms is very far greater than for 1 Bedrooms. They said that the resort seems to attract larger groups-extended family, multi-generational sometimes. I remember one time when a couple was at the front desk, inquiring about extending their stay. They were currently in a 2 BR with family members that had come from different areas. "All we have is a 1 Bedroom you'd have to move to, no 2 Bedrooms." Turns out the rest of the family was leaving, so it was fine for them to move.

That's interesting. I realize it costs more points and the rooms can be far apart, but one can book 2 one bedroom if no two-bedroom is available.
