HHI Summer 2 bedroom

Has anyone booked hhi 2 bedroom at seven months between May 30 through August 10 with any luck? Planning for 2012. Curious if this would be an option. Thanks! How many fit in a 2-bedroom comfortably?

That post talks about how many units and where they are. I've not tried to book for the summer but at 7 months out, I couldn't get a 2 bedroom for April, Holy Week, the week before Easter, 2011.

I do not think that there is the sleeper chair in the 1 bedroom, but MS did let me book a 1 bedroom for cash for my DS's family of 5. They told me they would have to provide bedding for the 5th person. I'm only going to use that night if the waitlist comes through. Right now, I think that's going to need several doses of Pixie Dust.

We belong there. Have friends that belong at OKW and they have been successful getting the first week of June a couple of times. The two bedrooms sleep 8...at least as of last June.

Hoping to add-on the 5th and 6th this weekend.

We booked for Memorial Day weekend this year in a 2 bedroom at the 7 month limit. Deciding to go down on Friday probably helped. Our understanding is that people do not book Friday or Saturday because of the points.

We own at SSR but our first DVC use was in HHI in 2005. This year, I called the morning of the first day I could 7 months out. We got the 2 bedroom we are looking for. Have tried in the past but weren't successful in other years, but called closer to the time we wanted. My experience is that later in August may be more available since some schools are back in session. Just our experience but we're excited to be going again this Aug. We are checking in on Sunday and leaving on a Friday.

3 years ago we booked the first week of august at the 7 month window. Got 2- 2 bedroom for a family getaway. Had to call the first day it was available, as soon as the phones opened up. According the person that booked rooms we got the last two available. so it it is possible. good luck

Last year we got a 2br for the last week in June. I called right at the 7 month window and waitlisted one day. We had a wonderful time-good luck!

You are in for such a treat. Our first stay at HHI was in a GV. There was 9 of us. It was perfect.

Well, almost. We tried for August 7-12 exactly 7 months out (to the day at 9:05am) but got wait-listed. Decided to wait a week and called exactly at 9am and got the following week instead, August 14-19. School doesn't start 'till the 29th so it worked for us to wait a week.

We tried getting a 1 Bedroom at the 7 month mark for this June for 3 nights and all our nights were not available so we got ressie's for Vero Beach instead.

Plan to try for HHI again in June next year for 3 nights but may try to walk it a bit to increase my chances.

I was able to book a 2-bedroom at June 1-10 at the 7 month window without a problem.

Looks like HHI is becoming more popular, in years past I was always able to book 2 bdr whenever I wanted. This year I called first day avail for 7 mos out for 1st week in Aug and had a little bit of trouble but eventually got what I wanted, thanks to quick work by the person at MS. I think staying over a Friday & Saturday helped.
