HHI recommendations

Other than DVC does anyone know of a good place to rent a condo on HHI? I know virtually nothing about HHI or about their resorts. We are looking for something close to action but doesn't have to be beach front. Walking distance would be a plus. We will only have 4 of us and would need a kitchen. Any suggestions and where to look to rent?

HH is divided into several different "plantations" each with it's own charm and special characteristics. Most of these are gated areas. The largest is Sea Pines - home to Harbourtown with the logo Lighthouse.

The DVC resort is located in Shelter Cove - which is part of Palmetto Dues. Other areas are Hilton Head Plantation, Windmill Harbour, Port Rolal Plantation, Indigo Run, Shipyard and Wexford.

We have been coming to HH for 30 years now and enjoy both Sea Pines and Palmetto Dunes/Shelter Cove. We have rented condos and homes over the years.
