HHI in October

Hey guys. Looks like we are going to go to Hilton Head mid October. Has anybody been that time of year? This will be our first trip. I am so excited. My husband has business there, so we are going to exted for a few extra days!!!! It will be just the two of us. We would love to sit by the pool and read. Has anyone taken the boat/ferry thing to Savannah? Is it worth it? We will have a rental car too. Any adivce would be great.

Have not taken the boat to Savannah but was there last year in OCT, and let me say the weather was perfect! Its only my DW and I also and we just laid out by the pool and relaxed the whole time it was great. Enjoy your trip and I hope your trip will be as good as ours was.

We have not been inOct , but we gave our niece and her husband thier honeymoon at HHI in 2002 in Oct and they loved it. They swan everyday in the ocean and pools and the weather was fantastic. They want to go fback or their 5th anniversary!

ps We love this resort any time. 4 xmas weeks; twice in June/July; and once in April.

We had a great trip during the second week a couple of years ago. The water was warm enough for swimming, although the air was a bit chilly at times (low to mid 70's) -- for swimming that is. Perfect temps for biking.

My only disappointment was that the beach house was largely shut down except for the snack shop and pool.
