We are thinking about checking out Hilton Head this Easter break, (I am planning on calling at the 7 month window and crossing my fingers and toes :) ).

I know the pools are "heated", so that shouldn't be a problem. I realize the Ocean water is still going to be quite frigid, but how are the temperatures on the beach? Will we need long sleeves? Or is it possible to sunbath (comfortably)?

Since Easter is so late, a lot of us are looking at HHI for the 7 month mark!! Doc has mentioned that in late April, the ocean could be in the 70's and that's pretty warm when you're coming from New Jersey!

I sure wish we all have the pixie dust needed to get what we're hoping for!

Yes, like Bobbi said, lots of us have our fingers and toes crossed for getting HHI at the 7 month window for next April. Then you can all find out first hand about the ocean (we're not swimmers, that's why we won't find out). From what I've heard, though, I wouldn't count on the ocean being warm enough for more than a very quick dip, if that. I just want it to be warm enough for the hot tub. Althou we've made several trips to HHI, this would be our first trip where it might get over 75 degrees.

The beach should be nice in late April. By then the ocean could be mid 70s with similar air temps (or even warmer). The humidity still won't be bad either!

Enjoy! :)

We went to HH the last week of April a couple of years ago. It was very comfortable on the beach during the day for sunbathing, walking or biking. We thought the ocean was too cold to swim in - but we spent lots of time in the pool. We did need a sweater for walking on the beach at night. Of course we didn't bring one - had to go to the store and pick one up.

Hi guys! We have just booked a 2 bed on cash for April 10th for 10 nights and are so excited!! Hubby wants to fish, son wants to swim and we all want to spend some time on the beach, fish etc!

Will it be warm enough to sit by the pool/on the beach in a swimming costume or am I being over optimistic?!! Bear in mind that I am from the UK, so as soon as it hits 20 degrees the bikini comes out!! ha! ha!

I will keep my fingers crossed for everyone who is looking for HH in April at the 7 mnth mark. Good Luck!
