We are heading south in November for a DCL cruise 11/3-10, AKV 11/10-15, then to Myrtle Beach for me to do a show until the 18th, when we'll finally head home, done with shows for the year! :cool1:

I was thinking we might stop at HHI as our "overnight", but make it 2 nights for a little pre-cruise R&R (haven't checked availability yet). Would it be fun for the kids? Am I even outta luck getting something at this point? I've never seen the resort, so really am clueless. Any thoughts are welcome!

We were at HH on Halloween a couple of yrs ago (back when there was a wonderful Disney Visa card perk for a 2brm villa @ $99 per night) we added the Halloween night to our stay since our dgk's were young and everyone had the time. The resort itself isn't packed at that time and the CM were terrific. At that time they were stationed around the resort pool area for "stations" with treats after and the kids were given cute foam masks, then there was a party at the clubhouse above the pool area bldg. All in all it was a fun evening for little people. I think you will love the resort, and I sure wish Chase would bring back the $99 per night deal!

We must have been there the same time - loved it! The CMs were great with the kids. There was a walk around the grounds with different stops and each had a CM in costume, telling some kind of story - more fairy tale-ish, not really scary stuff. Then there was a party with games, pumpkins the CM's had carved, etc. Really fun (you might want to call ahead and check on the activities for this year, though, as we were there probably 2 or 3 years ago).
